In some pilot cities, like Denver, once a rider presses the emergency button, their location and trip details will be automatically sent to the 911 dispatcher.There are other initiatives Uber is planning to roll out this summer across the country, and not just in pilot cities.In the "Safety Center," users can find tips from law enforcement, learn things like how Uber screens drivers, and insurance protections. "Trusted Contacts" allows riders to pick up to five friends and family members and share trip details with them during every ride. That way, they can follow you along and know when they've arrived.When it comes to drivers, Uber says it is also strengthening its screening process and will keep doing background checks on drivers every year. Twitter has suspended far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from its platform for one week.The news was first shared by an InfoWars personality, who tweeted a screenshot of Jones' Twitter account -- indicating the company limited some of Jones' account features temporarily.A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the screenshot. The spokesperson said the content which prompted Twitter to suspend Jones was a video published Tuesday in which he said, "now is time to act on the enemy before they do a false flag."On Friday, one day after a CNN investigation found that Jones' Twitter accounts appeared to have repeatedly violated the company's rules, Twitter said the accounts belonging to Jones and his fringe media organization InfoWars would remain online.At the time, a Twitter spokesperson said the company concluded that of the more than a dozen tweets included in CNN's Thursday report, seven were found to have violated Twitter's rules. Twitter would have required those tweets to be deleted, if they were to have remained up.But after CNN's investigation was published, the tweets cited in it were almost immediately deleted from the social media website. Jones said on his program that he had instructed his staff to do so and "take the super high road," though he contested whether the tweets violated any Twitter rules.Twitter is one of the only major social media companies that has not scrubbed its platform of Jones or InfoWars. TUCSON, Ariz. — Police in Marana, Arizona are investigating after a man was reportedly holding a gun in his lap at a Starbucks near Cortaro and I-10 Saturday morning.Marana Police say around 8:45 a.m. there was a report of the man having his finger on the trigger of an un-holstered gun. The man was detained without incident when officers arrived. No one was hurt.Authorities say the man, 51-year-old James Vincent Delaney, was arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Facility on felony Disorderly Conduct and Weapons Misconduct related charges.  592

UNIVERSITY CITY (KGTV) - A man led police on a short vehicle pursuit, before crashing into a canyon and running away. The pursuit started just before 9 p.m. Sunday night on Genesee Avenue and Governor Drive. The man was parked in a vehicle blocking a driveway to a business, according to San Diego Police. He was running up and down the street and took off in a vehicle when police arrived. Police pursued him for about 10 minutes, before he crashed into a canyon near the end of Governor Drive and Travers Way. The man immediately got out and ran into the canyon. According to police, the driver is a Hispanic male in his late 20s, 5'8", with a shaved head, short sleeved shirt and hoodie, and gray shorts. 730
