(KGTV) — Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial end of summer for most San Diegans.But there's still plenty of local theme park fun to pack into the week before kids head back to school.Disneyland, SeaWorld San Diego, Legoland, and other parks still have admission discounts available for those last-minute family trips to celebrate the end of summer.Many theme parks are also running special event festivities for guests geared toward the summer and fall — you get the best of both seasons!Here's a look at this Labor Day's fun at our region's theme parks:Disneyland: There's still time to catch the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland, and get a taste of this season's Halloween festivities at Disneyland. Through Aug. 30, annual passholders can get their friend into the park at a discount. The park's recently announced annual Flex pass also gives guests another option to visit.SeaWorld San Diego: Spends some of your Labor Day weekend at SeaWorld and take in the acrobatic and LED-powered Electric Ocean show, "Cirque Electrique;" the park's summer concert series; Sesame Street Party Parade; and nightly fireworks. (KGTV) — San Diego Sheriff's deputies alerted residents of Jacumba Hot Springs and Boulevard on Thursday of the placement of a sexually violent predator.Joseph Blockett, 76, will be released at 45612 Old Highway 80 in Jacumba Hot Springs on or before Dec. 1, 2020, according to the Sheriff's Department. Blockett served time in prison for molesting children between 1976 and 2000.His release will be supervised by Liberty Health Care, according to SDSO.RELATED: Judge considering placement of sexually violent predator in Jacumba Hot SpringsBocklett was convicted of three sexual offenses over a 19-year period involving victims between the ages of 4 and 9, according to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office. A 19-year-old man was detained in Germany on Tuesday after police found him carrying a 2-foot long python in his pants.According to the Associated Press, the unidentified man was detained by police in Darmstadt after having a loud drunken argument with another man. When police searched the teenager, they found "a significant bulge" in his pants.The man then told police he had a snake in his pants and pulled it out to show officers. According to the BBC, police believe the baby king python may belong to one of the man's relatives.The teen was taken into a jail cell to sleep if off. A 41-year-old Sheboygan, Wisconsin mom faces multiple charges after she had her 12-year-old daughter driver her car after she was drinking.According to the criminal complaint, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was called to I-43 at County Road V on Sunday, March 18 around 5:30 p.m. local time — after a 911 caller reported a child driving a Chevy Equinox SUV on the freeway while sitting on her mother’s lap.The deputy caught up to the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he noted a strong smell of intoxicants coming from inside. He also saw the 12-year-old girl was in the back seat and the mother, Amanda Hauke, was behind the wheel.The mother initially denied that the girl was driving the car in her lap – but later admitted that it was true. The 12-year-old girl also told the deputy that she did this.During a field sobriety test, the mother admitted to drinking roughly four hours before she was pulled over. A preliminary breath test was performed and showed Hauke’s blood alcohol level was .126. She was then arrested. After she was arrested, Hauke then admitted to authorities she had consumed “a couple glasses of wine with a co-worker at a bar between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. that afternoon.”Hauke is charged with: 1306

(KGTV) — The cities of La Mesa and Santee have enacted curfews through much of this week over concerns of possible unrest.La Mesa's curfew begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 5:30 a.m. the following day for each day from Tuesday to Sunday morning.The City of La Mesa says in a release that, "due to conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property that have arisen within the City of La Mesa as a result of rioting and looting related to a police protest on May 30, 2020, the City of La Mesa Director of Emergency and Disaster proclaimed the existence of a local emergency within the City on May 31st, 2020."RELATED: 2 people arrested, accused of pointing gun at group gathered in SanteeSantee's curfew was set to start at 7 p.m. until the following day at 6 a.m. each day from Tuesday to Saturday morning.This curfew applies to the portions of Santee located to the south of Mast Boulevard (including all of Mast Boulevard), east of Carlton Hills Boulevard (including all of Carlton Hills Boulevard), west of Magnolia Avenue (including all of Magnolia Avenue itself) and north ofBoulevard), west of Magnolia Avenue (including all of Magnolia Avenue itself) and north of Highway 52.Santee leaders said, "for the past four evenings, large gatherings have occurred in the City of Santee, which have created threats to public safety and property and are in violation of current public health orders. Witnesses positively identified the woman in a curb-side lineup, and the woman and driver were both arrested after a semi-automatic weapon and two magazines were found in the vehicle, SDSO said.Poway, which had a curfew Sunday and Monday nights, had no plans for a curfew Tuesday night, Mayor Steve Vaus tweeted Wednesday.The cities has first enacted curfews after Saturday night saw instances of looting, rioting, and vandalism in La Mesa following demonstrations at La Mesa Police Department against police violence. 2490
