A South Florida mother is hoping a social media blitz will help President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris see her daughter's letter to them.Sydney Carlo, who lives in Cooper City, wrote the letter Saturday after learning that Biden and Harris were the projected winners of the election. I voted for you in my school's election. Just like you two, I want to grow up and help my country. America is a great country but you made it a lot better."Her mother, Samantha Carlo, said her daughter showed that dedication by keeping up with the presidential election. "Sydney has been following the election, so every morning since Tuesday, Nov. 3, the first thing she's done is walk into my room and say, 'Do we know who won yet?'" Carlo told WPTV.Sydney said she wanted to share her feelings. "I just let my heart out and I did what I wanted to say to him, that he's doing a great job and that he's a great person," she said.Her mother shared the letter on her Instagram page, tagging Biden and Harris. Apparently that’s a big deal… #worldrecord" on an account dedicated to photos of the boy growing up and going on outdoor adventures. His parents, on their own individual Instagram accounts, specified that Rich was six months and four days old at the time — beating the youngest-known record by six days. Ron Johnson (R-WI) has tested positive for COVID-19, his communications director said Saturday morning.“Senator Johnson was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept. 13. He stayed in quarantine for 14 days without developing symptoms and tested negative twice during that time," Johnson's Communications Director Ben Voelkel said in a statement."He returned to Washington on Sept. 29 and shortly after was exposed to an individual who has since tested positive. Martha Firestone Ford is stepping down as the owner of the Detroit Lions, the team announced on Tuesday. Her daughter, Sheila Ford Hamp, will succeed her mother as the team's principal owner and chair.Martha, who is 94, has owned the team for six years."It has been a great honor for our family to be association with the Lions and with the National Football League.
