SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A suspect was behind bars Wednesday in connection with a mugging that left a 73-year-old disabled woman gravely injured last week on a downtown roadside near Cortez Hill.Stanley Harris Hinton, 31, was arrested Monday on suspicion of carrying out the robbery and assault in the Core-Columbia district of San Diego, according to police.The 6-foot-3-inch, 215-pound suspect allegedly attacked Nannette Altevers, who uses a walker, near the corner of B Street and Fourth Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. Friday.Patrol officers responding to a 911 call about the assault found the assailant gone and Altevers suffering from extensive upper body trauma, Lt. Matt Dobbs said. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.Due to the severity of the victim's injuries, homicide detectives have taken charge of the case, the lieutenant said.Hinton was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault, robbery and elder abuse. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities today identified a 19-year-old woman who was fatally shot following a parking lot fight in the Bonita area. Sheriff's deputies responded at 7:40 p.m. Saturday to a report of shooting at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Cedarwood Road, according to Lt. Thomas Seiver of the Sheriff's Homicide Unit.The initial investigation revealed a fight took place between several women in the parking lot before the victim, identified as Janessa Delvalle, was fatally shot, Seiver said. When deputies arrived, they found people giving her CPR.She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities reached out to the public Wednesday for help identifying a man who entered the women's locker room at a Hillcrest hospital and prevented a woman from leaving the restroom after she rejected his advances.The suspect entered the women's locker room at the UC San Diego Clinical Training Facility at 210 Dickenson St. shortly before 11:15 a.m. on Aug. 20, according to San Diego police.A 30-year-old woman was using the restroom inside the locker room when the man walked inside, prevented her from leaving, then asked her, "Don't you want this?" while gesturing to his body, police said. The man then left the restroom, but held onto the outside doorknob to keep the victim from locking the door.He then walked back inside the restroom and blocked her from leaving four more times before she was able to lock herself inside the locker room and wait until he left.Once the victim heard a co-worker in the hallway, she left the locker room and went outside the building to get help, but she saw the man near another building and she ran away before calling 911.The suspect was described as a 6-foot white man with a thin build, unshaven face and short, dark-colored hair with a gray patch near his right temple.
