BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- Deputy Jacob Pickett of the Boone County Sheriff's Office was shot and killed in the line of duty last week after a shootout with a suspect during a car chase.Pickett is survived by not only his two young boys and wife, but by his K-9 partner, Brik, who was by his side on the day he was fatally shot.Brik honored his fallen partner at his funeral by stopping, alone, in front of Deputy Pickett's casket. And as a dog would, he wagged his tail, as a final salute to a man with which he had an unbreakable bond.Brik followed a K-9-only procession, going by Deputy Pickett's casket to pay their last respects for a fall comrade.You can watch video of the service in the player above.   731

The breeder even offered free shipping, immunizations, guaranteed health record and was ready to go.Terry paid the amount two weeks ago and is still waiting for Leeya. He can’t seem to reach the breeder anymore by phone, but still receives the random excuse via email, explaining the missed shipping date."Just couldn't get this puppy on the airplane. Things weren't going right," said Terry as he recounted the last excuse he was given.Bre wanted to be sure about the scam and pretended to be someone else interested in Leeya."When I'm on the phone with the guy and he's telling me that Leeya is still available, it took everything in me not to just break down and cry," said Bre.KMGH tried calling multiple times and did not reach anyone, nor a recorded voicemail associated with the breeder.We started digging into the testimonials on the breeder website too.A photo of a little girl in a hospital bed with a caption from her mother, about how helpful the golden retriever was to her daughter stricken with cancer, is actually ripped from an AP article. Big league players will still hear the roar of the crowd even though the stands will be empty when the baseball season opens next week.Taking a cue from two European soccer leagues, Major League Baseball will play crowd noise from its official video game through ballpark sound systems during games. Stadium sound engineers will have access to around 75 different effects and reactions, according to MLB, which has provided teams with crowd sounds captured from “MLB The Show.”San Diego Studios, a branch of Sony Interactive Entertainment, compiled the noise during games over several seasons.Clubs started using the sounds during summer camp games and will be able to test them further during exhibition games.“There was some reticence when you first talk about crowd noise in an empty ballpark because you don’t want to do something that is distracting,” said Chris Marinak, who is MLB’s Executive Vice President for strategy, technology, and innovation. “It is heard in a way that is natural with the play of the game and on field. The sounds do match what is happening.”England’s Premier League and Spain’s La Liga were the first to return to action with crowd sound from video games. The leagues enlisted EA Sports to provide crowd effects they engineered for the FIFA video game franchise. Marinak said MLB talked to multiple companies before deciding to go with Sony.Baseball is hoping the crowd noises, along with stadium announcers, walkup music and in-stadium video, will replicate the in-game experience as closely as possible without real fans in the stadium. BONITA (KGTV) - A Bonita man is seeking the public's help to find the people responsible for ransacking his family home last Tuesday night.Michael Currier grew up on San Miguel Road in Bonita and once you understand his family's history it's easy to see why this home means so much.A couple doors down is where his mother and uncles were raised, at grandpa's house. His mother stayed close to care for grandma who had Alzheimer's and when the house went on the market, Currier and his wife pulled together what they could to keep it in the family.They bought the home in 2013 and have been renovating. He and his wife are now taking care of his mother, who also has Alzheimer's, so they weren't home last Tuesday night.Currier came home Wednesday and found it barren. All the construction tools in each room, gone. Incredibly rare parts he was using to build specialty motorcycles, gone too. Shelves full of black bins barren, with dust outlining where they sat for years."The parts that were stolen are irreplaceable. Those motorcycles, I'll never be able to work on again," Currier said.Currier worked as a contractor to pay for nursing school, and collected tools since he was 15. While he's glad no one was hurt from the break-in, what he lost was more than items on a list."Definitely makes you feel a little uncomfortable in your own house in your own neighborhood which is frustrating especially when you grew up in this area and this has always been a home, a safe place," he said.He filed a report with the San Diego County Sheriff's Office and they are looking into the incident.In the meantime, Currier's resorted to hanging signs, with a reward for information, around the neighborhood. 1726
