DESCANSO (KGTV) -- A San Diego County couple is warning others after getting a flat tire from an unusual source. Pamela Jessup was running errands last Thursday morning when she says she started hearing a thumping noise while driving her Toyota RAV4 on SR-79 near Old Highway 80.Jessup says it was then that she pulled over and looked at her back tire. After not seeing anything wrong, she went on her way.The thumping, however, only intensified after she drove onto Interstate 8. When she drove home, Jessup says her husband Davis found a temporary lane marker stuck, nailed in to the tire.While doing their due diligence, the Descanso residents found dozens of temporary nail markers along the side of the road in the same area Jessup ran into issues.A local tire shop was able to fix the damage to the tire, but it cost the pair . Other residents in the area took to social media to complain similar events that happened to them in the same area.On Facebook, at least three others said they also got flat tires after driving through the area.From Tuesday through Friday, neighbors reported a road construction project that included restriping.On 10News at 5, we follow David Jessup as he makes the journey to the Caltrans subcontractor for answers and to give them back their lane markers. 1313

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. — A mother was arrested in Ohio for allegedly creating child pornography of her own 3-year-old daughter, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office announced on Tuesday.Kayla Parker, 26, of Dayton, Ohio, was charged with felonies including the sexual abuse and exploitation of children, endangering the welfare of a child and indecent assault.According to the office of Attorney General Josh Shapiro, Parker lived with her ex-boyfriend, David Carbonaro approximately four years ago. During that time, Parker committed inappropriate sexual acts with her daughter, the 3-year-old victim, including the creation of child pornography.“This is an egregious case – a mother who preyed upon and sexually abused her own three-year-old daughter,” Attorney General Josh Shapiro said.When investigators executed a search warrant at Carbonaro’s residence in July, they reportedly found hundreds of images and several video files of a 3-year-old girl in various stages of undress. At least one file depicted an adult female’s hand reaching inside the victim’s underwear.Carbonaro identified the victim and her mother to agents.According to a probable cause affidavit, Parker told investigators that, "Carbonaro would watch her abusing the victim and often masturbate during the act."During that same interview, Parker allegedly told investigators that, on numerous occasions during the time she lived with Carbonaro, she undressed and escorted her 3-year-old daughter to a bedroom, shut the door and left her alone with Carbonaro. Carbonaro was arrested in July, following the raid at his residence. He is currently awaiting trial in Delaware County for the possession, production and distribution of child pornography.Parker was recently arrested in Ohio and was extradited to Pennsylvania, where bail was set at million, pending a preliminary hearing on October 26. 1926

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein defended special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe Wednesday as "appropriate and independent," the Wall Street Journal reports.President Donald Trump has repeatedly called Mueller's investigation of possible collusion between Trump associates and Russians seeking to meddle in the 2016 election a "witch hunt" that is "rigged."Trump appointed Rosenstein as deputy attorney general but has expressed extreme frustration with him for months, partly over his decision to hire Mueller last year."I committed I would ensure the investigation was appropriate and independent and reached the right result, whatever it may be," Rosenstein told the Journal in a rare interview. DENVER -- A Colorado man’s vacation in Hawaii took a terrible turn this week when he was attacked by a shark.Dylan McWilliams, 20, was bitten by a tiger shark while surfing in Hawaii.McWilliams received stitches and will be okay, but he could be named the most unluckiest – or luckiest –guy in Colorado.“Yeah, this isn’t my first time being bitten,” McWilliams told Denver7 over a FaceTime call. “Last summer I was attacked by a bear in Boulder. It dragged me out of my tent by my head.”Scripps Denver affiliate KMGH-TV spoke with McWilliams last summer following the attack. He received several scars on his head but ended up okay.“I fought off the bear as much as I could until it dropped me and let me go,” McWilliams said.Less than a year later, and McWilliams gets bitten by a Tiger Shark in Hawaii.“I felt something hit my leg, and I looked down and there was a lot of blood and I saw the shark underneath me,” McWilliams said. “I started swimming as fast as I could to shore.”McWilliams said the shark looked to be between six and eight feet long.But the bear and shark attacks haven't been the only two times he's had a dangerous encounter with wildlife.“When I was sixteen, I was in Utah and I was walking outside and thought I kicked a cactus and it ended up being a rattlesnake,” McWilliams said. “It bit me too.”Denver7 reporter Tomas Hoppough jokingly told McWilliams through the FaceTime call that he is a Colorado version of Steve Irwin – the Crocodile Hunter.“That’s funny you say that because Steve Irwin has been my hero since I was a kid,” McWilliams said. “I always wanted to be like him.”McWilliams will need to stay out of the water during his vacation as his wound heals, but said he will be okay.“I don’t know if I’m unlucky, or really lucky,” McWilliams said. “But my dad said I need to buy a lottery ticket or something.” 1875

(KGTV) -- A suspect is in custody for the fatal shooting of a man in the Dehesa area late Thursday evening, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.Detectives identified the suspect as 49-year-old Daniel Christopher Allen who was arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail for one count of murder Friday evening.Sheriff’s officials said the incident happened in the 6000 block of Stallion Oaks Road at around 11 p.m.ABC 10News learned deputies were dispatched to the area after a woman reported her boyfriend had been shot.Responding emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the man -- who was not identified -- died at the scene.Details on what led to the shooting remain under investigation. 747
