SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday in favor of providing employers the option to opt out of providing free birth control to their staff, based on religious beliefs.The 7-2 vote was polarizing."It's a huge win for religion," Pastor Andy Ballon said."We are extremely disappointed," Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California’s President/CEO, Jodi Hicks said.Pastor Ballon said the vote is a victory because it allows people of faith the freedom to not do something they don't believe in. "We believe that life starts at conception, so we believe we should have the right to chose to not provide or not pay for these contraceptives."Ballon said women have options to access birth control outside their healthcare plan provided through work.One of those options is Planned Parenthood."We know what [the vote] means. "Women play an important role in my life and it's not about taking anybody's rights. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The Rolling Stones are postponing its 15-city North American tour due to the coronavirus outbreak.The band's "No Filter Tour" was set to kick off in San Diego on May 8 at SDCCU Stadium and visit cities including St. Louis, Austin, Louisville, Cleveland, and Atlanta.“We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together — and we’ll see you very soon,” The Rolling Stones wrote in a joint statement.The tour's promoter, AEG, has advised ticket holders to keep their original tickets and wait for more information on rescheduled shows. 741

Throughout the day, both Democrats and Republicans repeated the same points over and over again. Political analysts say that’s only expected to continue. “The president used the power of his public office to obtain an improper personal political benefit at the expense of America's national security,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi kicked off the debate, summing up the argument to impeach President Donald Trump. The promises to the base matter, and today is a promise kept for the majority,” Collins said. Very rarely did either party directly respond to each other. “You are not going to convince the person next to you. They are not your audience,” said Thad Kousser, UC San Diego Political Analyst. Kousser says the way this is set up is purely for show. Different representatives are trying to reach their constituents, who may not be watching live. For 48-year-old Cherie Friesth, this Carmel Valley clinic is giving her hope. "This just gives you a little help and a boost towards that goal," said Friesth.She's already a mother of four and a grandmother of eight, but she wants one more. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The record-breaking heat and drought are forcing animals, including coyotes, out of their natural habitats and closer to humans.Krystal Ruiz lost her two dogs, Millie and Pepe, to coyotes last week.“It's sad; it's very sad. I'm just lost for words. I don't know,” said Ruiz.Her friends and neighbors aren’t surprised.RELATED: Escondido man attacked by coyote“They have said they've seen coyotes wandering around. I'm also on the nextdoor app, and they said they've seen coyotes or a friend has seen coyotes snatch a dog and kill it.”Early August is also pupping season when newly-weaned coyotes venture out on their own for food and water.“Just like us, they're trying to find reprieve from the heat. Their figures for 2018 show coyote incidents are down compared to last year. In 2017, there were 142 coyote attacks. More than halfway through 2018, San Diego is on track to stay below that number, with 64 attacks.According to the website, there have been six reported pet deaths this year.“I believe we were getting one to two calls earlier this season.
