(KGTV) - A 3-month-old golden retriever puppy with a price tag of ,700 was stolen from a pet shop Thursday night in Santee.That’s according to Sharon Franco, the owner of Pups and Pets, who has surveillance video of an unidentified man grabbing the dog while in a play-pen and running out the front door.The man had been in the store earlier but came back a second time and asked to play with the golden retriever puppy, said Franco.He played with it for about 5 minutes before he picked it up and ran out of the store.Two employees tried to run after him but said a car was waiting outside. They described it as an older model Audi with Florida plates.Anyone with information is urged to call the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. 754

SAN ONOFRE (KGTV) -- Police chased a domestic violence suspect from Los Angeles County to San Diego County Thursday night. The driver, who has family in Tijuana, was believe to be heading to the border, according to our ABC affiliate in L.A.?At one point, the suspect may have ran over a spike strip, slowing him down. Once near the Camp Pendleton area police attempted two pit maneuvers. Shortly after the suspect drove off the freeway and into the brush, where he ultimately turned off the car and exited his vehicle. Police were able to take him into custody around 11:20 p.m. and began to search the vehicle. *This is a developing story. 10News will continue to update as more details unfold.  730

SAN MARCOS (CNS) - Palomar College will break ground today on a new on-site food pantry that will help meet the massive demand of students facing food insecurity.The future Anita and Stan Maag Food and Nutrition Center will offer a modern, bigger home for the college's food pantry, which has been in operation for over three decades. (KGTV) - A Caltrans project to expand an SR-78 ramp in North San Diego County has some residents concerned about their safety.Crews have been working on the Woodland Parkway on-ramp to improve the flow of traffic to the freeway. Eventually, there will be an additional lane at the Woodland and Barham on-ramps.Residents told 10News the construction set-up is too dangerous for drivers.“I'm saying a prayer before I get on the ramp cause you really need it,” said Jacqueline Duron.She also said the ramp set-up doesn’t give drivers enough time to speed up and merge onto the freeway safely.“A lot of the times all the lanes are packed - so there's nowhere for anybody to go - and drivers going up the ramp getting smashed on the cement wall,” said Duron.Neighbors also posted concerns on the NextDoor app, calling the situation a ‘death trap’.Crash statistics for the Woodland Parkway ramp to westbound SR-78 show a slight uptick from last year, with seven crashes to the previous year’s five.Even though the number of accidents were slightly higher this year compared to 2017, the CHP says the numbers do not support the existence of an issue.10News talked with Caltrans about neigbors' concerns. SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A broken water main damaged a Santee street and flooded at least one nearby business early Friday morning.At around 3:45 a.m., authorities were called to Prospect Avenue and Cuyamaca Street in response to a water coming out of the roadway.The water blasted out of the street and flooded an auto repair business. At least six vehicles were partially submerged due to the rising water.By 4:15 a.m., authorities were able to shut off the water and begin road repairs.A city official said they believe the overnight temperature change may have caused the water main break.ABC 10News learned repairs are expected to last throughout the day.The public is asked to avoid the area of Prospect Avenue and Cuyamaca Street, as lanes have been closed. 772
