KUNMING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- The second China-South Asia Expo kicked off on Friday in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, to promote all-round cooperation and development in the region.
Accompanied by Julian Dominguez, president of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, Xi was warmly greeted by local gaucho horsemen and the owner of the Republic Farm, some 70 km away from the capital, Buenos Aires.
In a message sent to her Chinese counterpart Xi on Sunday, South Korean President Park Geun-hye expressed deep grief over the significant casualties and properties losses caused by the earthquake, wishing China will win the disaster-relief battle soon.
President Morales thanked Chen as the special envoy of President Xi to attend the summit, saying that it significantly enhanced the influnce and the level of the summit.
"The Chinese people will never forget such timely help offered by the Greek people," he added.
