NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A New Port Richey, Florida man has been arrested after he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl at his house while playing Grand Theft Auto, deputies say. The alleged rape was witnessed by another gamer who overheard the incident while playing the game with the suspect over PlayStation 4. Daniel Enrique Fabian, 18, was arrested on Wednesday, November 21 and charged with lewd and lascivious battery in connection to the incident which occurred on June 28, 2018. The 15-year-old girl was at Fabian's home at the time of the incident. Fabian is known to the victim. Fabian was playing Grand Theft Auto with another gamer when he told the other gamer he had a girl over at his house and he was going to "smash" her.Fabian stopped playing the game for 15 minutes and during that time, the other gamer says Fabian's microphone was still on and he could hear the victim moaning and saying "no." The victim told Fabian to stop four times, but he continued to have sexual intercourse with her, according to the arrest affidavit.After 15 minutes, Fabian resumed playing the video game with the other gamer. A Sexual Assault Victim Exam was done on the 15-year-old girl and the results supported the allegation of sexual abuse. Fabian was arrested and booked into the Land O' Lakes Detention Center. 1350

NIPAWIN, Saskatchewan (AP) — Canadian police said early Saturday 14 people were killed and 14 people were injured after a truck collided with a bus carrying a junior hockey team to a playoff game in Western Canada.Police say there were 28 people, including the driver, on board the bus of the Humboldt Broncos team when the crash occurred around 5 p.m. Friday on Highway 35 in Saskatchewan."We can now confirm fourteen people have died as a result of this collision," The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a release early Saturday."The other fourteen people were sent to hospitals with a variety of injuries; three of these people have injuries that are critical in nature."No names were released, and police would not say whether players or coaches were among the dead. There was no mention of the truck driver.The team president said parents from across Western Canada were rushing to the scene as they struggled to cope with the tragedy."It's one of the hardest days of my life," said Kevin Garinger. NEW YORK — Tropical Storm Fay battered the Northeast Friday, not only drenching the region but causing rip currents, flooding, and bringing with it dangerous winds that damaged vehicles and prompted power outages.The storm brought heavy rain and gusty winds throughout the day, causing Flash Flood Warnings and advisories across the region. Parts of New Jersey, New York City and Long Island experienced flooding in some neighborhoods.Periods of heavy downpours continued through the afternoon and evening hours.Despite the downpours, the storm weakened after making landfall Friday afternoon.The storm system was expected to bring 2 to 4 inches of rain, with the possibility of flash flooding in parts of the mid-Atlantic and southern New England. Despite all these issues along the coast, the risk for a storm surge will be minimal.Conditions may improve as early as Saturday morning.
