Florida State University notified students Wednesday afternoon that Spring Break 2021 is canceled.FSU said the move is in an effort to keep students and staff safe and healthy.Under the new plan, the Spring semester will begin on January 6, 2021, the first three days of which will be taught remotely.As a result of canceling Spring Break the Spring semester will now end on April 23, 2021, a week earlier than planned.The letter reads as follows:"As our highest priority remains the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, Florida State University has adopted a new calendar for the Spring 2021 semester.The semester will still begin Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, however, the first three days of classes will be taught remotely. The university has canceled Spring Break in 2021. Ford is recalling about 350,000 trucks for a problem that could cause them to roll even after the driver shifts into park.The automaker says the issue affects 2018 Ford F-150 and Ford Expedition vehicles with 10-speed automatic transmissions, as well as Ford F-650 and F-750 vehicles with 6-speed automatic transmissions.Ford says a piece of equipment on the affected vehicles can become dislodged over time, which means the car won't be in the gear that it looks like it's in, such as park.This means that if the driver shifts the car into park, the car might not actually be in park — and there would not be a warning message to indicate that. If he or she doesn't use a parking brake, Ford says the vehicle could roll.Ford says it's aware of one reported accident and injury.The company is also recalling more than 100 other vehicles for a missing transmission roll pin. If the pin is missing, the company says that the transmission on those vehicles might eventually lose the ability to park, even if the driver shifts the car into that gear.Ford says that problem affects around 160 of the 2017 and 2018 Ford F-150s, 2018 Ford Expeditions, 2018 Lincoln Navigators and 2018 Ford Mustangs with 10R80 transmissions.  1231

Four states have approved legalizing marijuana. The measures are projected to pass in Arizona, Montana New Jersey and South Dakota. In Arizona and New Jersey measures would make recreational use of marijuana legal for people 21 and older.The Arizona measure also allows people convicted of certain marijuana crimes to seek expungement of their records. Lawmakers in New Jersey were unable to pass legislation about marijuana and eventually put it on the ballot for voters to decide.Marijuana is still illegal on the national level, however 11 states and the District of Columbia have already legalized it and sell it without interference from the federal government. 674

FedEx said Monday they are planning to hire 70,000 seasonal workers as they head into the holidays.In a hiring statement on its website, the shipping company said most of those hired for its "peak season" would be added to its FedEx Ground network."As our team of more than 500,000 team members is busy preparing to deliver the holidays, we once again expect to see a large number of packages traverse our global network over the 2020 peak holiday shipping season," FedEx said. "In order to provide the best possible service during this busy time of the year, FedEx is increasing hours for some existing employees and boosting our workforce with seasonal positions, as needed."
