Gavin Newsom and his family are in quarantine, after they learned that three of their children was recently exposed to a California Highway Patrol officer who had tested positive for COVID-19.Newsom said late Sunday that he and his family were isolating for 14 days following the exposure. Newsom said he and his wife, Jennifer, had no direct interaction with the officer.He added that on Sunday, his family had all tested negative."Late Friday evening, [Jennifer] and I learned that 3 of our children had been exposed to an officer from the California Highway Patrol who had tested positive for COVID-19. Jen and I had no direct interaction with the officer and wish them a speedy recovery," Newsom said in a statement on social media. "Thankfully, the entire family tested negative today. However, consistent with local guidance, we will be quarantining for 14 days. We are grateful for all the officers that keep our family safe and for every frontline worker who continues to go to work during this pandemic."Newsom's spokesperson, Nathan Click, had said on Friday that one of the Newsom's children may have been exposed to the virus while at school, though at that time, Click said it was a classmate that had tested positive. (KGTV) — Attorneys who challenged the use of Sharpies to complete election ballots in Phoenix are dismissing their lawsuit, according to the Associated Press.Roopali Desai, an attorney for Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, told the AP she was notified Saturday that lawyers who filed the lawsuit are ending their case.The lawsuit stemmed from allegations that election equipment was not able to record a voter's ballot because she used a Sharpie to complete it. (CNN) -- Two Disney employees were arrested in a child pornography sting orchestrated by the Polk County Sheriff's Office in Florida.They were among 17 men nabbed in an undercover sting operation, according to a press release from the agency.Brett Kinney, 40, of Lake Alfred, Florida, told investigators he was a guest experience manager at Disney World, according to the release. Kinney was arrested and charged with one count of promotion of child pornography and 24 counts of possession of child pornography-enhanced, the release said.A Disney spokesperson told CNN by phone that Kinney was no longer employed with the company following his arrest in the sting.In the release, the sheriff's office alleges that Kinney would search online for images of boys from toddlers to 10 years old. He was caught during a peer- to -peer investigation of alleged child pornography.When confronted by investigators, Kinney told them that he had an addiction to child pornography and had been viewing it for 22 years, according to the release.A second Disney employee, Donald Durr Jr., was also arrested by the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Durr, 52, of Davenport, Florida, told investigators he was a custodial worker at Walt Disney Resorts. He was arrested and charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography and one count of promotion of sexual performance by a child.Durr is on unpaid leave, a Disney spokesperson told CNN.Investigators discovered an electronic tablet with three images of child pornography and a DVD created by Durr nine years ago showing explicit images of a child, the sheriff's press release said.Durr described himself during an interview with detectives as "a pervert, but not a monster," according to the release.CNN has reached out to both men for responses to the charges they face but has not yet heard back.
