SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two new charges have been filed in the case against a La Jolla restaurant owner accused of sexually assaulting multiple women.Authorities say five victims have now come forward claiming Daniel Dorado, 59, sexually assaulted them.The fifth victim came forward after last week’s arraignment, telling the San Diego Police Department about an incident that happened in 2014.RELATED: La Jolla restaurant owner accused of sexual assault makes first court appearance?Prosecutors say the assaults took place over a nine-year period beginning in 2009 and ending in January of 2018.Dorado pleaded not guilty earlier in April to 14 counts brought against him, including rape of an unconscious person.RELATED: Woman claims she was drugged during job interviewDorado was arrested in March. One of his accusers claimed she was drugged and raped by Dorado three years ago at his Bird Rock-area restaurant Voce del Mare.Prosecutors in the case say two victims were sexually assaulted at the restaurant while three others were assaulted elsewhere. SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- A plan to permanently remove the traffic along Normal Street in Hillcrest and replace it with a promenade will be voted on Tuesday. If approved, the westside traffic lanes would become a pedestrian walkway with dedicated bike lanes. It would also make room for the weekly Hillcrest farmers market and other events. “They call it a promenade but where are people promenading to,” says Linda Hanna, owner of Salon Antoine. Hanna has owned the business near the corner of Normal Street and University Avenue for almost 20 years. “We are in favor of something like this, but we need to think it through.”Other business owners are worried because the project would eliminate a driveway to a nearby shopping center.“If you don’t close that driveway, you have a driveway going right to the park, and that’s a real problem,” says Benjamin Nicholls, Executive Director of the Hillcrest Business Association. To add space to the east side lanes, some parking spaces will be moved. The Hillcrest Business Association says there are plans to add dozens of parking spaces near Lincoln Avenue. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two families will forever be connected after an organ donation saves the life of a woman struggling with heart disease for nearly a decade. Susan Amador's son, David Rivera died, at the age of 30, in 2017 of a brain bleed, caused by a rare clotting disorder. The 30-year-old left behind a 4-year-old and his fiancee. Rivera was a registered organ donor and his organs helped save the lives of five people. His heart was donated to a woman named Sandra, of Chula Vista. On Monday, Rivera's family met the woman who now carries their loved ones' heart. The meeting was made possible through Lifesharing Donate Life, an organization that coordinates organ and tissue donation in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Rivera's mom hopes her story will encourage more people to sign up to be organ donors. 824

SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- A new effort is underway to revive a San Diego public golf course that's falling apart.  The "Friends of Presidio Hills Golf" went before the city council Tuesday urging them to take up the issue.  Their plan is to restore the course to its former glory days.Presidio Hills in Old Town is a local golf course with a storied past and an uncertain future."It needs to be completely redone," said John Vallas, who spearheaded the proposal.The place many once called the "cradle of golf" in San Diego is now a long shot from being up to par. 578

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection started Tuesday construction on its second border wall project along the U.S-Mexico border. The 14-mile long project consists of crews replacing existing barriers with new 30-foot tall steel bollards. The contract was awarded to Texas-based construction company SLSCO Ltd. The secondary wall project runs just north of the primary fence replacement project which started last summer. 446
