BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, or China's cabinet, has pledged to encourage the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) to boost its transparency in a guideline issued Tuesday.

The five regions that are undergoing their elections at present are Liaoning, Hunan and Yunnan provinces as well as Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions, the statement said.

"We are confident that China will see a U-shaped economic recovery in 2012," the Centre for China in the World Economy (CCWE) under the Tsinghua University said in the report on the country's economic situation.

China is the third to establish a mechanism for selecting and training astronauts, next to the United States and Russia. China will offer access to astronauts' training to other countries, especially developing ones.

Despite current difficulties, Greece remains an attractive destination for investment in sectors ranging from tourism and renewable energy to agriculture and merchant marine, speakers noted, expressing confidence that the country will overcome the debt crisis and return to growth supported by entrepreneurship.
