Gavin Newsom and his family are in quarantine, after they learned that three of their children was recently exposed to a California Highway Patrol officer who had tested positive for COVID-19.Newsom said late Sunday that he and his family were isolating for 14 days following the exposure. Newsom said he and his wife, Jennifer, had no direct interaction with the officer.He added that on Sunday, his family had all tested negative."Late Friday evening, [Jennifer] and I learned that 3 of our children had been exposed to an officer from the California Highway Patrol who had tested positive for COVID-19. Jen and I had no direct interaction with the officer and wish them a speedy recovery," Newsom said in a statement on social media. "Thankfully, the entire family tested negative today. However, consistent with local guidance, we will be quarantining for 14 days. (KGTV) — A 0,000 truck belonging to DJ Marshmellow was stolen Wednesday before the suspect led authorities on a pursuit from Malibu to the San Fernando Valley and crashed.California Highway Patrol said the suspect was seen driving on the wrong side of Malibu Canyon Rd. around 9:40 p.m. and led CHP officers on a chase along eastbound 101 Freeway. Eventually, the suspect exited the freeway in Sherman Oaks, before traveling into Van Nuys.The suspect drove through the parking lot of a Taco Bell restaurant, before crashing the truck into a light pole near the intersection of Coldwater Canyon Ave. and Vanowen St. at about 10:10 p.m. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Edward Cruz, surrendered peacefully to CHP after crashing. He was booked on suspicion of grand theft auto and felony evading police, according to the Los Angeles Times. Investigators said drugs or alcohol may have been involved.The custom-built black Ford F-550 6x6 was stolen from a dealership and belongs to Marshmello Music, CHP told the LA Times.Dave Sparks, the truck’s custom designer, posted a video on Instagram saying he had been contacted by Marshmellow's team about the pursuit after he had left it at the dealership to be serviced.City News Service and the Los Angeles Times contributed to this report. 1299

(KGTV) - Dramatic video shows how a plane crash and rescue of the pilot and passenger unfolded off the coast of Northern California. David Lesh purchased his Beechcraft Bonanza a few weeks ago and asked a fellow pilot to record aerial video from a second plane. “We were gonna go fly over the Golden Gate bridge, and do a whole bay tour... obviously didn't make it there,” Lesh said. During the flight, Lesh lost all power five miles off Half Moon Bay Harbor. “I would guess that we probably didn't have much more than maybe a minute or two from the time I figured something was wrong to the time we hit the water,” said Lesh. Lesh’s friend Owen Leipelt was piloting the second plane and watched as Lesh went down. “At one point I lost them. I had been circling and I couldn't see them anymore and David called me on the phone as he was bobbing in the water and he turned me around and he guided me right to where he was,” said Leipelt. Commander Joshua Murphy.
