(KGTV) - Two threats to shoot students at Bonita Vista High School spread in a snap on social media Sunday, scaring students and parents, making them wary to go back to class Monday."It kinda caught fire on Snapchat that's where it spread like wildfire and everyone was talking about it it was everywhere," Bonita Vista High senior Andrew Garcia said. It was a screenshot of an Instagram comment that read, "Shooting up on the campus Monday. I like some of you. Try to skip school if you value your life." Another comment below read, "I don't think you guys are gonna wanna hide in the 900s," apparently referring to the campus' "math village."Another threat coming out around 9:30 p.m. with a similar message. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- No charges were filed Thursday against a Chula Vista police officer arrested last week after a reported domestic violence incident, though the case remains under investigation, according to a spokesperson for the District Attorney.Leopoldo Armando Chousal, 27, was arrested on March 14 on the 6400 block of Potomac Street in a reported off-duty domestic violence incident.He was booked on one count of making criminal threats to harm his girlfriend.RELATED: Chula Vista officer arrested for off-duty domestic violence incident"CVPD takes these allegations seriously and was disappointed to learn of this incident. We are cooperating with SDPD’s criminal investigation and we are conducting an internal investigation concurrently," CVPD Lt. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- The man suspected of robbing a South Bay credit union was arrested following a crash Wednesday afternoon. According to Chula Vista Police, a man entered the Cal Coast Credit Union on the 300 block of East H Street around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the man approached the teller window with his hand in his pocket simulating a weapon and demanded cash from the employee. After receiving the cash, the suspect left the credit union, getting into a getaway vehicle. Police were able to locate suspect based on vehicle information provided by a customer at the credit union. Officers spotted the vehicle going eastbound on H Street and tried to pull the suspect over, but he didn’t stop instead leading police on a chase. At some point during the chase, police say the man ran a red light on Otay Lakes Road, slamming into another vehicle. Both the suspect and victim in the crash were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police haven’t yet released the name of the suspect but say he is under arrest for the bank robbery and felony evasion. 1100

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - The Chula Vista Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that happened Saturday night on Telegraph Canyon Road. Surveillance at a nearby business captured the accident."Of course it was scary watching the video, right in front of our workplace here, it is scary," said Hector Ruiz, a Chula Vista real estate agent.At around 8:25 p.m., a man is seen crossing the road outside of a crosswalk. He makes it past the eastbound lanes but is then hit by a car traveling west.The driver remained on scene after the crash and has been investigating with officers. The driver did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol; no charges are expected to be filed against him. Ruiz says he is constantly worried about speeding along that stretch of Telegraph Canyon Road.Chula Vista Police say they welcome tips from the public regarding dangerous roads or places where drivers tend to speed. They can bring speed trailers to those areas to determine if there is a speeding problem. 1028

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Faith leaders and business owners in Chula Vista attended a training Monday night to learn how to plan and prepare for an active shooter threat. Chula Vista police lieutenant, Dan Peak, tells 10News the department received several calls after the Poway Synagogue shooting, asking officers how they could stay safe in the event of an active shooter at their place of worship or business. Chula Vista Police Sergeant, Mike Varga, provided the training for the community. Varga's presentation included a history of active shooters, red flags to look out for, and what to do if you find yourself in an active shooter situation. His advice in that situation is to run, hide or fight. During the presentation, Varga played a 9-minute video detailing exactly what one can do to survive a shooting. Varga also told the audience to listen to their intuition, meaning if someone is displaying red flags, alert the police and let investigators decide whether or not there is a threat.
