NEW YORK, N.Y. – Rush Limbaugh provided an update on his "roller coaster" battle with lung cancer Monday, saying a recent scan showed “some progression” and that it’s “in the wrong direction.”The conservative talk radio host has been seeking treatment since he announced in February that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.In a statement posted on his website, Limbaugh said his scans had previously shown that his treatments had “rendered the cancer dormant,” meaning they had stopped the growth of the cancer.“It had been reduced, and it had become manageable,” he said.Limbaugh said he has stage 4 lung cancer and that his team has adjusted his chemotherapy drugs with hopes of keeping additional progression at bay as long as possible.“The idea now is to keep it where it is or maybe have it reduce again. The giant masks are meant to remind New Yorkers of the executive order that requires people to wear them in public, according to the NYPL.The masks are also meant to remind library visitors that face coverings are required in order to pick up and drop off books.The statues — named Patience and Fortitude — celebrated their 109th birthday in May.“Like them, New Yorkers are strong and resilient and can weather any storm. We will get to the other side of this public health crisis together,” NYPL President Anthony W. Marx said. “But to do so, we must remain vigilant, we must have patience and fortitude, and we must follow what experts tell us, especially as we continue to reopen our cities."It is traditional for the NYPL to decorate the lions, as they do every year with wreaths every December. New Zealand’s government has extended a lockdown of its largest city Auckland for another 12 days as it tries to stamp out its first domestic coronavirus outbreak in more than three months. The outbreak has grown to 30 people and extended beyond Auckland for the first time. Until the cluster was discovered Tuesday, New Zealand had gone 102 days without infections spreading in the community, with the only known cases travelers quarantined after arriving from abroad. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says extending the lockdown will give health authorities time to get a handle on the cluster and isolate those infected.According to Johns Hopkins University data, New Zealand has had 1,600 confirmed COVID-19 cases, the vast majority coming in March.
