Also, look for the foundation of an old grist mill on the County Historic Resource Board’s list of historic places. The foundation is about 0.8 miles into the hike."Agua Caliente (39555 Great Southern Overland Stage Route of 1849, Julian, Calif.): "Keep your eyes open for bighorn sheep as you walk along the Marsh Trail, and snap a selfie about a half a mile in at a palm grove. The trees are sure to please."El Capitan (13775 Blue Sky Ranch Road, Lakeside, Calif.): "You’ll really need to work for this photo. Take the main trail up, up, up. Gower Ridge Trail to the summit, look for a granite boulder outcrop that mimic fangs. They are located around the 3-mile mark. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego firefighters Thursday are attempting to rescue a window washer stuck in a harness outside the fourth floor of an apartment complex in University City.The rescue started about 2:30 p.m. on Palmilla Dr. at Regents Rd. at the La Regencia Apartments.UPDATE: Firefighters lowered the window washer to the ground. The man was evaluated by paramedics. 396

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police arrested nine people suspected of driving under the influence Saturday night. According to the department, the checkpoint was held on the 1400 block of G Street between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday. A total of 2,403 vehicles went through the checkpoint, police say. More than 400 vehicles were screened, 13 drivers evaluated and nine people arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. San Diego Police said in a news release that they plan to conduct another DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location on Halloween. The department also plans to increase patrol on Halloween to screen for intoxicated drivers. This week, companies like Uber are offering tips on how to get around for Halloween. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Padres games just got a little classier.The Padres hosted their inaugural "Anchorman" race at Petco Park Friday, featuring San Diego's favorite news team from Channel 4: Anchor Ron Burgundy, sports reporter Champ Kind, reporter Brian Fantana, and weatherman Brick Tamland.And by the beard of Zeus, Burgundy took the first race handily. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County is letting voters know that they have options when it comes to dropping off their mail ballots.The county says voters can send in their mail ballots, drop them off at the Registrar of Voters in Kearny Mesa or drop them off at any of the 41 additional sites throughout the county.According to the county, the faster the ballots are returned, the quicker they can be prepared for counting on election night.The 41 drop-off locations are not early voting locations, but for mail ballots only, the county says.Click on the map below for a full list of drop-off location: “More than 1 million San Diego County voters use mail ballots, and that number continues to rise,” said Registrar Michael Vu. “The early drop-off sites are convenient for the voter, they help with the timely return of mail ballots and decrease the high volume of voters dropping off mail ballots at polling places on Election Day.”   960
