Police in Wisconsin have confirmed two cases of tampered Halloween candy throughout the state.In Arcadia, Wisconsin — a town located near the Wisconsin/Minnesota border — police confirmed that at least one child found needles in multiple pieces of Halloween candy.The needles were not visible until the candy was opened and broken in half. In both instances, the needles appeared to be sewing needles.Police say the incident happened sometime during trick-or-treat hours, between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. They've warned parents in the community to check their children's candy.A few hundred miles away in Neenah, Wisconsin, police reported that nails were found in three pieces of Halloween candy.A spokesman for the Neenah Police Department said that a mother found three Kit Kat candy bars with nails protruding from them in her son's candy stash.Police suspect they can narrow down the house where the boy was given the candy, but did not say they were investigating any suspects.It's the second straight year in which a nail was found in a Neenah trick-or-treater's candy. A child found a nail hidden in a Tootsie Roll in 2016. No arrest was made in that case.Police are encouraging Neenah parents to inspect their children's candy for anything suspcious.Those reports comes just days after police in Randolph, Wisconsin — located about three hours east of Arcadia — say that a child in town received a piece of tampered candy while trick or treating on Saturday.According to police, the child received a Now and Later that appeared to have been soaked in motor oil or some other foreign substance. Outdoor equipment retailer REI announced they are looking to sell their brand new corporate headquarters in Washington, as they embrace working from home and remote work options.“The dramatic events of 2020 have challenged us to reexamine and rethink every aspect of our business and many of the assumptions of the past. That includes where and how we work,” said REI President and CEO Eric Artz, in a video call with employees Wednesday. “As a result, our new experience of 'headquarters' will be very different than the one we imagined more than four years ago.”The company’s headquarters is being built in the Seattle area, in Bellevue, and is roughly 400,000 square feet and sits on eight acres of land. Corporate staff was planning on moving in to the newly-completed building this summer, according to the Seattle Times. REI transitioned to nearly 100 percent remote work in early March for corporate staff. Washington reported some of the earliest cases of coronavirus in the country.Retail stores closed in March across the country and recently reopened.The company admits the sale will also benefit them financially. PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – From China to Egypt and beyond, the halls of history span the globe.Yet, it’s been lonesome lately in those halls at some of the 35,000 museums across the country.“We, of course, wanted to reopen as soon as we could and safe a manner as we could,” said Melissa Smith, CEO of the Penn Museum in Philadelphia.It’s one of the few major museums to recently reopen to visitors, after coronavirus restrictions forced them to close their doors for months.“For the most part, it's business as usual with our exhibits,” Smith said.First, though, a task force of 35 museum employees needed to figure out what changes might be needed.“We had to look at a number of things,” Smith said.Among the changes: masks are a must, hand sanitizing stations are now located throughout the museum, clear partitions were installed to protect staff who interact with visitors and benches were marked off, so people can sit socially-distanced.Also, arrows now line the stairs and floors, carefully choreographing how visitors move through the exhibits.“They asked us to follow the arrows and it kind of was a different museum experience, but also I think very helpful, just because there wasn't any confusion,” said museum visitor Soheil Eshghi.There are a few other changes, too: some of the exhibits around the museum have touchscreens, so visitors can dig a little deeper into what’s on display and learn more. The museum is now giving out a disposable stylus to visitors, so they can safely use the touchscreens.Visitors said they don’t mind the changes and are just happy for the chance to come back.“I think that’s one of the things that I've been missing the most since all this shutdown started happening,” said Camille Lawhead, who was visiting the museum.Now, visitors no longer need to be missing it. 1813

OTAY MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- The piercing sound of a high-powered drill could be heard coming from the Otay Mesa border wall prototypes Tuesday morning. Journalist Jorge Neito captured the images from a neighborhood in Tijuana. Construction workers could be seen drilling more than a dozen holes into the concrete barriers.Customs and Border Protection officials confirmed to 10News last week that the prototypes were coming down to make space for a secondary border fence. That fence will strech 14 miles from the beach to Otay Mountain. Officials never specified when the prototype demolition would happen.The prototypes are 30 feet high and were built in last September of 2017. President Trump toured the barriers in 2018. Out of the eight designs there wasn't one specifically picked for the border wall. "There was never an intent to pick one and copy that along the entire U.S. border. The entire concept literally was how can we do this better," San Diego Sector Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott told 10News in 2018. "But we're not picking one of these walls over the other walls, and we never planned on doing that. So, depending on the terrain or the environment, it could be any one of these? (KGTV) – A growing number of locals who trying to make it in San Diego are flying out of the Tijuana International Airport to save money on airline tickets.In only its third year of service, San Diego's Cross Border Xpress, or “CBX”, is soaring in sales. “You can save so much money by traveling out of CBX,” said Luis Palacios, CBX's Chief Commercial Officer. The pedestrian bridge in Otay Mesa goes over the border and into the Tijuana airport. It’s located about 20 minutes south of downtown San Diego. RELATED: What to know about using Tijuana's Cross Border Xpress“More than 85 percent of our travel for the whole year, by the end of 2018, crossed in less than 15 minutes,” said Palacios. San Diegan Arun Srinivasan uses CBX to fly to business meetings in Mexico. “It’s essentially like having a second airport in San Diego that just costs less,” Srinivasan said. “Every roundtrip flight, I've saved three to four hundred dollars.” RELATED: Making It in San Diego: Local cities among top in the U.S. for staycations Srinivasan said CBX also saves him time. “[Departing from] San Diego, I have to connect through LAX or San Francisco." From the Tijuana airport, there are 35 nonstop flights throughout Mexico and two to China. Security is a concern for some travelers. A 2019 report ranked Tijuana as the most dangerous city in the world. Palacios said CBX puts safety first. “It’s totally secure.
