WISCONSIN — A 19-year-old man has been charged with two felonies after police say he gave a gun to Kyle Rittenhouse the night two protesters were killed in Kenosha.Prosecutors say Dominick Black purchased the weapon from the Ladysmith Ace Home Center using money he received from 17-year-old Rittenhouse. Police say Black bought the weapon for Rittenhouse because he wasn't 18-years-old yet and couldn't do it himself.Black and Rittenhouse agreed that the rifle would be stored at Black's stepdad's house since Rittenhouse did not have an Illinois Firearm Owner Identification card, according to the criminal complaint. Black's stepdad lives in Kenosha. On Aug. 23, Jacob Blake was shot in the back several times by Kenosha police. The following days were then full of protests and unrest in Kenosha.According to the criminal complaint, on Aug. 25, Rittenhouse and Black volunteered to protect the Car Source located on Sheridan Road. The two met at Black's stepdad's house where Black gave Rittenhouse the gun he had purchased, a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle.Around 11:49 p.m. that night, Rittenhouse used the gun to allegedly shoot and kill two individuals, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber. Both killings were captured on video by witnesses and the videos were widely shared on social media, police say. Now, Rittenhouse is facing trial in Wisconsin and Black has been charged with two counts of intentionally giving a dangerous weapon to a person under 18, causing death. This crime is punishable for up to six years in prison, per count. This story originally reported by Julia Marshall on TMJ4.com. 1618

What would it take to save million for retirement? Right now, more people than ever are 401k millionaires.Financial adviser Jonathan Duong says saving million is not as impossible as it may seem."A million dollars is very achievable for folks who aren't necessarily making really large six-figure incomes," Duong says.   The average 401k millionaire has been contributing to their retirement fund for over 30 years, according to MarketWatch.  So, how do you get to million in your 401k? Duong says there are a few easy ways.   First, defer over 10 percent of your paycheck to your 401k. Fidelity Investments says it might seem like a lot, but in the end, it should leave you with an annual income that you're use to once you retire.   Next, take advantage of your employer match."A match is free money," Duong says.   MarketWatch found 28 percent of the contributions to the average 401k millionaire's account came from their employer.   "Additional things you can do is working a little bit longer and delaying social security," suggests Duong.   Delaying Social Security until you’re in your 70's will allow you to get more money opposed to taking it sooner.   “It’s fairly good to say that if you've got 25 to 30 times your annual living expenses saved up, you might be in a position to retire, but there are a lot of other details that go into it," Duong explains.   There's no rule of thumb for how much everyone should save, Duong says. It all depends on your living expenses and how much it takes for you to live comfortably.   "In my mind, the ability to start today is really a reality for most people it's never too late," Duong says. 1756

WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - In Ohio, a dad turned an awkward silence into a beautiful moment when he belted out the national anthem at a high school basketball game after the sound system failed. The moment captured on video took place before the Waverly Tigers were to take on the Portsmouth West Senators Friday night.According to CNN, the pregame rituals started as usual, with everyone standing before playing the national anthem, but then, silence. The sound system was experiencing technical difficulties. That's when Trenton Brown began to belt out "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the encouragement of his wife, with no musical backup or a microphone. After he was done singing, Brown sat down and started eating his popcorn, CNN reported.Johnny Futhey, another parent who was at the game, captured the moment and posted it on his Facebook page, where it quickly went viral.Futhey said the performance brought tears to people's eyes.Brown told CNN that he's been singing most of his life but has never performed the national anthem solo. 1042

While fall brings about vibrant leaves and cooler weather, it can also cause a seasonal affective disorder. It’s a condition that tends to come and go with the seasons. With COVID-19 still a major concern, some experts say SAD may be more noticeable due to the stresses of the pandemic. Social distancing may pose a risk in the coming months as a result of less physical contact.Child and adult psychiatrist, Judith Joseph, know the signs. Symptoms may include oversleeping, change of appetite, weight gain, and feeling tired. It’s a condition that affects about 5 percent of adults in the U.S., and typically lasts about 40 percent of the year. It's also a lot more common in women than men, according to the American Psychiatric Association. With schools now in session and reports of an uptick in coronavirus cases in several NYC Neighborhoods, Dr. Joseph said the combination could lead to even more anxiety.Light therapy may be a good alternative to make up for the loss of daylight. However, she warns patients to only use them under the supervision of a trained medical professional.Dr. Josephs said you can overcome that feeling of worry by continuing to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines while making self-care a top priority. You can start by developing a workout routine and sticking with it. Also, boost your melatonin levels by eating foods such as cherries and walnuts to getting a good night of sleep. The bottom line: don't brush off that sluggish feeling as simply a case of the "blues" or a seasonal funk. When in doubt, contact a mental health physician for advice. This story was first reported by Stacy-Ann Gooden at PIX11 in New York, New York. 1670

Whether you can afford a home depends — a lot — on the city you want to call home. A modest income can go a long way in Cumberland, Maryland, the metropolitan area with the nation’s most affordable houses. In contrast, the least affordable homes are in the San Jose, California, metropolitan area — the center of Silicon Valley. In Cumberland, a median-priced house costs less than two years’ median household income. By contrast, the typical home in San Jose costs about 10 years of household income.NerdWallet calculated affordability for 173 metropolitan areas by comparing the median annual household income and the monthly principal-and-interest payment for a median-priced single-family home. “Median” means half of the values or incomes are higher and half are lower. Those comparisons revealed the five most- and least-affordable markets for buying a home. The lists were compiled using data from the National Association of Realtors, the Census Bureau and NerdWallet surveys.?
