BONSALL, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man died Monday afternoon after his tractor reportedly flipped over in Bonsall.According to North County firefighters, the incident happened on the 30000 block of Cll La Reina. The man was doing yard work when the John Deer tractor went down a steep hill and started to accelerate before darting off the road, down an embankment and flipping over several times. During the incident, the man was thrown from the tractor. The man was pronounced dead when deputies arrived. The Medical Examiner's office is conducting an investigation.  599

Before he crashed and died, the airline worker who stole and flew a passenger plane in the Seattle area Friday had a wide-ranging discussion with air traffic control -- at one point expressing confidence in his flying ability because "I've played some video games."In audio recordings posted on Broadcastify, the man can be heard both resisting and seeking help as a controller and others tried to guide the otherwise unoccupied Horizon Air plane to a landing.The Pierce County Sheriff's Department described the man as suicidal but did not elaborate. Baton Rouge Police Officer Blane Salamoni has been fired for violating use-of-force polices in the Alton Sterling shooting, Chief Murphy Paul told reporters Friday evening while also releasing four videos, several of which graphically show Sterling as he lay dying.Paul said Howie Lake II, the other officer involved in the July 2016 incident, will be suspended for three days without pay for losing his temper during the incident.The four videos that were released include a convenience store surveillance video, two police-worn body camera videos and a video recorded by the dashboard camera in one of the police cars.Video from Lake's body camera shows the officer approaching Sterling, trying to get him to put his hands on the hood of a car, and eventually struggling with him on the ground. During the altercation, another person, presumably Officer Blane Salamoni, screams, "He's got a gun!" and soon thereafter gunshots are heard.When the officers get up, Sterling is lying on the ground outside the front door of the convenience store with a blood-soaked red shirt.The gun is not visible in the video but Lake tells another officer he put it in his car. The officers had been responding to a call about a man with a gun. The call was from a homeless man who said that after he approached Sterling for money, Sterling showed him the weapon.CNN is reviewing the other videos.The two officers had separate disciplinary hearings Thursday night. Paul said Salamoni chose not to answer any questions at his disciplinary hearing. Lake answered every question, the chief said.When asked what he would say to the Sterling family, the police chief said: "They are in our prayers. .... BETHESDA, Maryland — The Montgomery County Police press office said Tuesday afternoon that it received a call to assist for a report of an active shooter at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.Around 3:15 p.m. Eastern, reports indicated it was a drill, not an actual active shooter situation.During the situation, Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, D-Maryland, tweeted about it from inside the center."I am currently at Walter Reed Medical in Bethesda where we've been told there is an active shooter," Ruppersberger said. "I am currently safe in a conference room w/ approx 40 others."Two individuals separately told CNN they were inside the building at Walter Reed just before 3 p.m. Tuesday and were told to continue to shelter in place.
