They have a men's line and a kids' line so the whole family can use it -- like I was very excited!"But Erin Ostby's excitement quickly faded when she says her hair began falling out after using the Monat hair products she'd been selling."I was crying to my husband, not just over my hair, but what had I done?"  She's what Monat calls a Market Partner -- someone who sells their shampoo and other hair care products on the company's multi-level marketing platform, which is mostly through social media.  RELATED: Women claim Monat hair products causing balding, scalp soresBut the young mother had to walk away from an increasingly lucrative business when she says she could no longer stand by the products."I was very nervous to say anything because of the backlash I have seen of other people that spoke out about what was happening."In three recently filed class action lawsuits against Monat, the company is accused of using strong-arm legal tactics to silence critics."We have to do that to protect ourselves from defamation," said Monat spokesperson Gene Grabowski, who would only agree to a phone interview. Toni Miller is one of the stylists Monat is suing for defamation."What I am seeing with this product in particular, it's not normal," Miller observed after working with clients who'd used Monat.Monat claims people like Miller are engaged in a smear campaign designed to promote competing products.  In their suit against her, they report 1,000 order cancellations in the last two months."When we tried to reason with our attackers who were bullying people online, bullying some of our market partners, bullying other customers and ridiculing them for using our product, we had to file a lawsuit to protect ourselves from the attacks," Grabowski said.But Miller says Monat is the bully. The company sent a letter to Posare salon, threatening to sue the owner if she didn't silence Toni or fire her.  As for consumers, Grabowski says, "Everyone is entitled to their opinion. By the way, there is not a constitutional right to complain about a company. A company has a right to respond any way it wants to." The Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Review Fairness Act "Protects consumers' ability to share their honest opinions about a business' products, services or conduct in any forum, including social media."  But that's not enough. This request for a restraining order against Monat was filed March 7 in South Florida, asking a court to protect consumers against Monat's "Threats, harassment and intimidation."Monat says one stylist has agreed to pay them to settle its claims against her.  Miller is still fighting.  Monat sent this statement for consumers: "If a consumer feels that he or she is having a negative reaction to MONAT products, we encourage them to speak with their Market Partner to obtain an intake form.  A new migrant caravan is heading to the United States. And US President Donald Trump has already weighed in, threatening to cut foreign aid to Honduras if the group isn't brought back to the Central American country.The caravan, which organizers say numbers thousands of people, formed in the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula on Saturday and crossed into Guatemala on Monday.Members of the group told CNN en Espa?ol that they decided to join the caravan and head to the US because of insecurity and a lack of jobs in Honduras.The big question: Will authorities detain them before they reach the US border?As local media documented the first steps of the group's journey over the weekend, government officials across the region spoke out, advising them to turn back.The US Embassy in Honduras warned of the dangers of the journey and noted that the United States would enforce its immigration laws. Mexico's foreign ministry?released a statement noting that travelers should consult its migration laws before trying to enter."Please bear in mind that current legislation does not permit entry into Mexico if requirements to travel to a neighboring country have not been met," the statement said. "To avoid surprises, please inform yourself before starting out."But the caravan continued undeterred.Police in Esquipulas, Guatemala, about 10 km (6 miles) from the border, blocked their path for nearly two hours on Monday, according to local media reports, but eventually allowed them to continue their journey after the migrants refused to turn back.By Tuesday morning, the caravan had caught the attention of Trump, who tweeted about it.Vice President Mike Pence also weighed in, saying he's spoken with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández."Told him U.S. will not tolerate this blatant disregard for our border & sovereignty," Pence tweeted.Bartolo Fuentes, one of the coordinators of the march, told CNN that the group planned to apply for humanitarian visas in Mexico that would allow them to travel through the country to the US border.Many families in the caravan spent Monday night in Esquipulas and restarted their march north Tuesday morning.This caravan's emergence comes nearly six months after another caravan consisting largely of Honduran immigrants reached the US-Mexico border.That group's approach sparked a Twitter tirade by Trump, and days later spurred his decision to deploy National Guard troops to the US-Mexico border. Trump also threatened foreign aid to Honduras at that time.Ultimately, migrants from that group crossed the US border and asked for asylum.Leaders of the new caravan told CNN en Espa?ol that it formed spontaneously and was organized through social networks.This caravan's formation also comes just weeks before high-stakes midterm elections in the United States, in which many Republican candidates have been echoing the President's messaging about boosting border security and cracking down on illegal immigration. (KGTV) - Upset parents are scrambling after the owner of a beloved preschool and daycare says she will be forced to shut down in a few weeks. ?18-month-old Merrick lights up when he goes to his daycare. More than a year ago, Brie Way enrolled her son at Intelli Children, both a daycare and preschool."It's not just a place. It's a home for kids," said Way.The home for more than 70 kids could soon be closing its doors."I feel sad for the children, parents and staff," said Carol Wilson, owner and director of Intelli Chidren.Ceiling stains in many of the classrooms mark the problem. Wilson says the leaky roof she noticed when she moved in eight years ago turned into big problem with this winter's rains, when several floods for them to cause of several occasions. According to Wilson, walls had to be cut out in most of the classrooms. Wilson says after the landlord declined the necessary repairs, she paid for the repairs so she could stay open. She then stopped paying rent early this year."The business was not viable anymore," said Wilson.She says negotiations stalled when her landlord declined a permanent fix and told her she had to close the school in early August. For Way, a single mom, panic is setting in. Affordable, quality child care is hard to find and she fears she'll be in the same boat she was a year ago."I called from Escondido to Oceanside, and found myself on 30 waiting lists ... It needs to stay open. There aren't a lot of good schools like this in the area. It would devastate the community I believe," said Wilson. The landlord declined comment, contending 'eight months of back rent' are still owed him. Wilson says it's closer to five months and she's willing to pay it if the repairs are done.Wilson says she and her husband are at retirement age and would not be opening the school at a new location. 10news has learned someone has stepped forward and expressed interested in taking over the school. Thousands lost their homes and businesses. Many others were forced to evacuate and leave their lives behind. Our equipment started the fire.
