A man and a woman were arrested in Arkansas on Tuesday after the woman's 1-year-old child was found dead in their bedroom closet. Fayetteville Police say that 21-year-old Tyler Hobbs called dispatchers stating that the child fell down the stairs and started seizing. He said that he performed CPR on the child but could not revive the child. Hobbs told police, “It happened a few days ago.” He explained that he got scared and did not know what to do.When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Hobbs and the child’s mother, 21-year-old Maria Giron-Molina.Inside the closet of the bedroom where the couple slept, officers found the child's body decomposing inside a plastic container that was covered with blankets.Hobbs later admitted to investigators that the child was crying uncontrollably and that it was giving him a headache. The child then knocked a picture frame and lamp off of a bedside table. Angered at the child’s refusal to calm down, police say that Hobbs picked the child up and covered its mouth with his hand to “muffle” the crying.Hobbs told investigators that the child hit and scratched him, so he shook the child back-and-forth. Hobbs said he blacked out, and when he “came to”, he saw the child was not breathing.He then performed CPR to attempt to revive the child. His initial effort was successful, but ultimately the child died without ever receiving medical attention, according to police.Hobbs said he was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the child’s death. He expressed remorse for his actions, and he said he did not intend to harm the child, police say.Hobbs was arrested for first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. Giron-Molina was arrested for abuse of a corpse. 1761

A cougar, burned in a dangerous Southern California wildfire, is recovering from her injuries. She was found by a homeowner after walking on burned paws onto his property.The Cougar Conservancy and California wildlife officials treated the cougar at a state facility in Sacramento.The cougar is eating well and her paws are healing. The conservancy group believes she will be able to return to the wild.She was burned by the Bobcat fire, which started on September 6 and has destroyed 87 residences. It has burned more than 115,000 acres and is about 90 percent contained, and still threatening 6,000 structures. The cause of the fire is under investigation. 666

A former Playboy model who allegedly had a nine-month affair with President Donald Trump is suing the company that kept her original account from publication, The New York Times reported Tuesday.The Times said Karen McDougal is suing to be released from an agreement mandating her silence.The report would make McDougal the latest woman to take legal action over an agreement restricting her from speaking out about an alleged relationship with the President prior to his time in government. The White House has said Trump denies the affair.Shortly before the presidential election, the Wall Street Journal published a story saying American Media Inc., the company that owns The National Enquirer, paid 0,000 to McDougal, but did not run her story in a tabloid maneuver known as "catch and kill." A lawsuit has been filed against the County of San Diego and the former Assistant Sheriff for sexual harassment and retaliation.The employee began working for the Sheriff’s Department in 2010 at the Vista Detention Facility, according to the lawsuit.Team 10 is not naming her because she said she is a victim of sexual harassment. The woman worked as Administration Secretary for the Detention Services Bureau at the Sheriff’s Headquarters.She alleges in her lawsuit that on at least five separate occasions, “Miller inappropriate hugged [her] and thrusted his crotch area into her so that she would feel his penis against her.”She said the first three times she was hugged in an inappropriate manner was when he was a Commander.RELATED: San Diego County Assistant Sheriff accused of 'inappropriate conduct'?The two most recent times were after he was promoted to Assistant Sheriff. The female employee claimed that Miller made “inappropriate sexual innuendo” to her, including tickling her hand.She stated in her lawsuit that she confided in two Commanders about Miller’s behavior, but did not raise a formal complaint because she feared retaliation.She applied for a new job within the department with Law Enforcement Services Bureau Administrative Secretary II “in order to avoid Defendant Miller and his continued harassment.”She was not granted the transfer. She alleged “Miller demoted her in retaliation for her rejection of his sexual advances and efforts to avoid further harassment by him.”Team 10 contacted the Sheriff’s Department late Monday. A spokesperson said Miller is no longer with the department, since he retired.She added they cannot comment on pending lawsuits. A bodyguard for Las Vegas resident and champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was shot on Monday in Atlanta, according to multiple reports.A police spokesman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that it appears that Mayweather's three-vehicle convoy was targeted. Mayweather was not injured in the shooting. The bodyguard, Gregory La Rosa, was shot in the leg. He was treated at a hospital in Atlanta and released. La Rosa has worked for Mayweather since 2014.Mayweather and his group was traveling from a club to a luxury hotel around 2 a.m. Monday when another vehicle pulled alongside and opened fire.Mayweather is in Atlanta to promote his Showtime-televised triplehead in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
