SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a 15-year-old boy who was fatally shot last week in Barrio Logan.Patrol personnel responding to reports of gunfire in the area of Chicano Park shortly before 10 p.m. Friday found a large gathering of people standing in a parking lot and a motorist beginning to drive away in a silver sedan, according to police.Seeing the arriving officers, the group, including two people in the car, scattered, Lt. We're doing everything we can to stop the hemorrhaging of small businesses in San Diego," Faulconer said. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A suspect was detained by police Saturday in Thursday's fatal stabbing of a man in a Midway District strip mall.The stabbing was reported at around 8 a.m. Thanksgiving Day in the 3100 block of Sports Arena Boulevard, according to San Diego Police. The unidentified 55-year-old victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to SDPD Lt. Matt Dobbs.At around 10 a.m. Saturday, police spotted a man matching the description of the suspect in the 4200 block of Cosoy Way, near Presidio Park.RELATED: Man stabbed to death in Midway District shopping centerPolice detained the man for further questioning, according to Officer Tony Martinez.Dobbs said the victim and suspect had "an altercation" outside a business, leading to the suspect stabbing the victim in the neck with an unknown weapon.The suspect was described as a white male between 20 and 40 years of age. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An 18-year-old man was shot twice in the stomach during an armed robbery early Thursday morning in a Mission Beach parking lot, police said.Two 18-year-old men were in a car leaving a party at the Bahia Resort Hotel, 998 West Mission Bay Drive, when they were approached by two men on foot in a public parking lot on Gleason Road at around 12:30 a.m.One of the men on foot pulled out a gun and pointed it at the pair in the car while demanding items from them, San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims said. The victims got out of the car and the man with the gun stole a chain necklace from one of the victims.The other victim tackled the gunman and was shot twice in the stomach, the officer said.The suspects fled in an unknown vehicle and the victim who had his necklace stolen drove the gunshot victim to a hospital for treatment of his wounds, Heims said. The gunshot victim underwent surgery, but an update on his status was not immediately available.A detailed description of the suspects was not immediately available. 1061
