SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – San Diego police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 17-year-old boy with several health problems.According to police, Jeremy Jose Sanchez was last seen by his mother at their apartment on Aug. 23 at around 9 p.m. Police did not disclose what part of the city the boy was last seen.The teen suffers from vision damage, loss of hearing, and has active tuberculosis. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Rain runoff has prompted a warning for swimmers, surfers, and beachgoers in San Diego County.As showers move through the area, urban rain runoff may force large amounts of bacteria to wash into coastal waters, including San Diego Bay and Mission Bay, county officials warned Saturday.Any activities in coastal waters should be avoided for 72 hours following rainfall. Depending on the intensity of the storm, elevated bacteria levels could persist.With recent rains also bring a water contact closure for Imperial Beach's shoreline, due to runoff from the Tijuana River. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are looking for two suspects witnesses say were part of a brutal attack where a man beat another man to the ground and hit him in the head with a sledgehammer.Robert Kern was driving on his way to run errands around 2:45 p.m. when he saw a man with long blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, wearing a black shirt and jeans, start attacking another man.He said the men were in the middle of the intersection of the Westbound 94 on-ramp at Kelton Road. Kern said the man punched and kicked the other man to the ground, then used a sledgehammer, hitting the man's head.Kern said a good Samaritan stepped in and broke up the fight, that's when Kern snapped a couple photos for police and called 9-1-1.The man who was attacked was taken to a local hospital. Inside the ambulance the man was writhing in pain. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego immigration advocates say they are feeling a sense of hope after the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. "I was definitely hopeful that, once again, we’ll have a process of consulting with an administration that wants to do something in regards to immigration versus what I would describe as an iron fist against anyone who’s coming into the country," says Pedro Rios, the director of the American Friends Service Committee.President-elect Biden has already shared some of his immigration related plans once he takes office. Biden has vowed to reinstate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) for children brought to the U.S. by their parents. The former vice president has also said he plans to halt funding for the border wall and reverse the Migrant Protection Protocols, allowing asylum seekers to wait in the United States, instead of Mexico, until their asylum case is heard.
