(KGTV) — Firefighters battled a vegetation fire north of Fallbrook Saturday afternoon.Cal Fire firefighters reported the brush fire near the intersection of Deluz Rd. and Santa Margarita Trail in the Deluz area, north of Fallbrook.Dubbed the Santa Fire, the blaze was at 6 acres and 0% contained just before 2 p.m. Fire crews said there was no immediate structure threat in the area. Just before 2:30 p.m., Cal Fire reported that forward rate had been stopped and crews would remain on scene "to mop-up and build containment line."It's not clear how the fire began. 573

(KGTV) — If you've been longing for movie night at the theater, but want to ensure no crowds, AMC is offering an interesting proposition.To soften the hit of the pandemic, the movie theater chain is offering private theater rentals for up to 20 people starting at and increasing to 9, depending on the movie, location, and add-ons. Add-ons include adding a microphone to greet guests (0) or more time to use the auditorium than the standard 15 minutes prior to the showing (0 per half hour). (KGTV) — Attorneys who challenged the use of Sharpies to complete election ballots in Phoenix are dismissing their lawsuit, according to the Associated Press.Roopali Desai, an attorney for Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, told the AP she was notified Saturday that lawyers who filed the lawsuit are ending their case.The lawsuit stemmed from allegations that election equipment was not able to record a voter's ballot because she used a Sharpie to complete it. Arizona election officials have said that voting with a Sharpie doesn't invalidate ballots.RELATED: San Diego Registrar of Voters: Using a Sharpie does not disqualify a ballotThe AP said no reason was immediately given as to why the lawyers dismissed their case.Election officials in Arizona and San Diego have said that ballots filled out with a Sharpie can still be counted. For many of these cases, the officers were cleared of wrongdoing. Others resulted in officers being reprimanded, fired or even charged criminally --- but all of these cases resulted in community reactions. Transparency Project Database: Search officer-involved shootings, law enforcement misconduct casesThese case files were released after Senate Bill 1421 went into effect on January 1, 2019. It requires California law enforcement agencies to make internal reports for officer-involved shootings and major uses of force, officer dishonesty and confirmed cases of sexual assault available to the public. The project includes a searchable database, where you can find cases by the name of the officer involved, the name of the victim/suspect, the department and much more.
