Citigroup has terminated a manager following an investigation into his role operating a prominent website dedicated to QAnon conspiracy theory, according to Bloomberg.Jason Gelinas was placed on paid leave in mid-September after he was identified by Logically.ai as the operator of QMap.pub and it’s affiliated apps.“Mr. Gelinas is no longer employed by Citi,” the company said in a statement to Bloomberg. “Our code of conduct includes specific policies that employees are required to adhere to, and when breaches are identified, the firm takes action.”Gelinas was a manager in Citigroup;s technology department. Cleveland Police say a 16-year-old boy wound up in the ICU at Metro Health because his dad forced him to confront a bully.Police put a warrant out for 36-year-old Carlos Conner, wanted on a felony child endangerment charge.According to a police report, last week Conner forced his 16-year-old son to fight his bully on the street.“My nephew seen the guy who’s been bullying him for a year and a half and he jumped out the car,” said Conner’s sister, Cynthia Conner.Conner says the police report doesn't tell the whole story and that her nephew took it upon himself to fight the other teenager. Both are students at James Rhodes High School.“I think he did the parental, smart thing, let them fight and said ok, after the fight was over, said ok, the fight was over, took his child and took him to the hospital,” she said.Except, when the 16 year old arrived at the hospital, police say it was discovered he had bleeding in his brain and was taken to the intensive care unit.The bullying, according to Conner, started on social media. Her brother, she says, made numerous attempts to stop it, but the problem was never solved.“This has been going on for a year and half, you don’t think my brother could’ve forced him to get out the car a year and a half ago? Here, here he is, I’m going to bring you right to him, fight him. My brother’s not a bad guy,” she said.Conner claims this was in fact a dispute between her brother and his ex-wife who filed the police report.According to the police report, detectives did not get a statement from the 16 year old and have not yet identified the other teen involved. 1616

CINCINNATI, Ohio — A SWAT officer with the Cincinnati Police Department was suspended after reports he allowed a civilian to don parts of his uniform on Halloween, Lt. Steve Saunders confirmed Friday. Officer John Neal was placed on administrative duty pending the results of an internal investigation. His LinkedIn profile lists him as a K-9 handler as well as a SWAT officer with the department; Saunders said he was off-duty when the incident occurred. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies and at least two Cincinnati lieutenants were called to Anderson Towne Center early Thursday morning, according to body camera recordings released by the sheriff's office. In one recording, a deputy mentions receiving reports of a man in SWAT gear harassing patrons.When deputies arrive, the man in question identifies himself as Neal's friend and claims to not have realized donning Neal's gear would be a problem. "I've known him for years," he says. "I didn't know this was a [expletive] issue. It was just a Halloween thing."Later in the same recording, the man asks one deputy what will happen to Neal.“It ain’t good, I can tell you that,” the deputy replies. “It’s pretty [expletive] stupid for this to be happening right now.”A bartender at a nearby restaurant told deputies the men arrived in the patrol car. Customers at Starbucks will have new ways to pay for their drinks and food while still earning stars in their rewards program.The changes to the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program begin Tuesday, September 15.Customers have complained for years about the need to reload their Starbucks card in order to spend money at the coffee giant and earn loyalty stars. In order for customers to earn stars in their loyalty program, customers had to use a Starbucks card or gift card to pay. This forced regular customers to constantly reload their card to ensure there was enough money for their purchases.Starting Tuesday, alternative ways to pay will be allowed and still allow members to earn stars for purchases. Alternative methods include debit/credit cards, cash, and select mobile wallets.However, there’s a catch.Customers paying with their Starbucks card or gift card will earn two loyalty stars per spent, and those paying with alternative methods will earn one star per spent. 990

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. — Florida middle school teacher Dayanna Volitich submitted her resignation after it was found she was also the host of a white supremacist podcast called "Unapologetic" and the voice behind a Twitter account riddled with racist and anti-Semitic posts.The Citrus County School District removed Volitich from the classroom while it investigated her behavior after The Huffington Post broke the story in March. On Monday, Assistant Superintendent Mike Mullen said in an emailed statement that the district received Volitich's resignation, but it isn't final until it's accepted by the school board.
