The Department of Justice announced indictments on Wednesday against four executives who were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to fix prices and rig bids for broiler chickens. Jayson Penn, Roger Austin, Mikell Fries, and Scott Brady were each charged with one antitrust charge in federal court. Penn is the President and Chief Executive Officer, and Austin is a former Vice President, of Pilgrim’s Pride, a chicken supplier headquartered in Colorado. Fries is the President and a member of the board, and Brady is a Vice President, of Claxton Poultry, a broiler chicken producer headquartered in Georgia.According to Pilgrim’s Pride, it provides 20% of all chicken consumed in the United States. Claxton Poultry says it produces 300 million pounds of poultry a year, and is a supplier for Chick-fil-A. The DOJ alleges that the foursome's actions caused chicken prices at restaurants and grocery stores to be impacted. “Particularly in times of global crisis, the division remains committed to prosecuting crimes intended to raise the prices Americans pay for food,” said Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim of the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. “Executives who cheat American consumers, restauranteurs, and grocers, and compromise the integrity of our food supply, will be held responsible for their actions.”The executives face a maximum sentence of 10 years, and a million fine, if convicted. The Miami Dolphins waived second-year running back Mark Walton after he was arrested Tuesday morning, with police accusing him of repeatedly punching the mother of his unborn child in the face.An officer responded to a residence in the Miami suburb of Davie around 4:15 a.m. and learned that Walton had been in an argument with a woman, according to a police report.The woman was five weeks pregnant, the report said, and had told Walton on Sunday that the child was his."During the course of the argument, Walton pushed (the woman) against a wall and punched her several times in the face and head. I observed (the woman) to have swelling on her left eye," the responding Davie officer wrote in his report. The victim's name was redacted in the report.Walton is charged with aggravated assault on a pregnant woman, the report says. Walton remained in the Broward County Jail, pending a Wednesday hearing that would determine his bond status.Walton's attorney, Michael Gottlieb, said he spoke with his client Tuesday. He told CNN, "I don't believe Mr. Walton is guilty of the charges as alleged."In a statement, the Dolphins said they waived Walton."We were made aware of a police matter earlier this morning regarding Mark Walton," Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said. The 18-year-old who said that actor Kevin Spacey groped him at a Nantucket bar in 2016 took Snapchat video of the alleged assault, and investigators have that video, according to a criminal complaint filed in Nantucket District Court.The complaint from Massachusetts State Police details an incident between Spacey and a busboy at the Club Car, a restaurant and bar on Nantucket, late on July 7 into July 8.The busboy, who was 18 at the time, told Spacey he was 23 and studying business at Wake Forest University, according to the complaint. That night, Spacey bought him a number of alcoholic drinks, bragged to him about the size of his penis, and tried to get the busboy to go back to his house afterward, the accuser told police in the complaint.Later, as the two stood near the piano player in the bar, Spacey reached over and began to rub the busboy's thigh, the complaint states. Spacey then unzipped the accuser's pants and rubbed his penis, both in and out of his pants, for about three minutes, he told police.The busboy did not know what to do and did not want to get in trouble at work for drinking, particularly because he was under the legal drinking age, the complaint states. He said that he tried to shift away with his body and move Spacey's hands away with his hands, but Spacey kept reaching down his pants, the complaint states.During this time, he was texting with his girlfriend, who did not believe what he was telling her, the complaint states.
