SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person is dead after a shooting in the Mountain View area Wednesday.San Diego Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 3 p.m. in the 3500 block of Florence Lane. Officers arrived to find a victim in an alley suffering from a gunshot wound, according to City News Service.The victim, described only as a male, was pronounced dead at the scene.The suspected shooter was described as a man who appeared in his 30s, wearing shots and a black tank top. He seen fleeing the area with another person in a silver Dodge Ram pickup or similar truck, CNS reported.SDPD is investigating. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - More than 100 homeless people will soon have a warm place to sleep at night. Thursday morning, the fourth bridge shelter opened its doors in East Village. Each shelter focuses on a different group of the homeless population. The new shelter, located on 17th St and Imperial Ave., is specific to high-risk people including the disabled, elderly, or those with medical conditions. “I can’t tell you in words, but it feels so good to get off this concrete,” says David Tharp, who has been living on the streets for the past three years. The city has now opened four shelters in the last two years, following the large Hepatitis A outbreak, bringing nearly 800 homeless people off the streets. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police have released photos of the man accused of badly beating a Pacific Beach bouncer Sunday night. According to police, four men tried to enter through the side door of a restaurant on the 700 block of Grand Avenue around 9:20 p.m. Sunday when a bouncer told the group they had to use the main entrance. As a confrontation escalated, police say one of the men picked up a metal crowd barrier pole, hitting the bouncer in his head. Others in the group then reportedly started fighting with other bouncers at the restaurant before all four men left, according to police. The bouncer who was hit in the head suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Another bouncer suffered a broken nose and two other staff members suffered some bumps and bruises. The man suspected of swinging the pole was described as black, in his 30s, 6 feet tall, and 250 pounds with a muscular build. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person is dead after being hit and killed by an unknown vehicle in Clairemont on Sunday night.San Diego Police say the pedestrian was in the 4100 block of Ashford St. near Marlesta Dr. when they were hit by a vehicle just after 8 p.m.The vehicle fled the scene. Police are looking for a dark gray or black Dodge pick-up truck.
