But thankfully with quick thinking of 'mini weddings', her Fallbrook location stayed open was able to satisfy anxious couples."I feel like whenever life throws you a curve, you just got to get up and figure it out and usually its for the better."It was a popular choice for those near and far."We’re getting couples from LA, Riverside and Orange County driving down because they don’t want to travel too far."The 2-hour window let Ransom fit up to four weddings in a day and allowed her to keep costs low. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- U.S. Senator and Vice-Presidential nominee Kamala Harris is scheduled to speak virtually at a San Diego event Saturday night.San Diego Mayoral candidate Todd Gloria said in a news release that Harris will serve as the keynote speaker at the San Diego County Democratic Party’s Roosevelt Honors.Harris endorsed Gloria in his Mayoral bid in November of 2019.“I have been honored to welcome her to San Diego multiple times in-person and I am honored to have the opportunity to do so again – this time virtually – and as the next Vice President of the United States,” Gloria said. 604

SAN DIEGO (KGTV)- A plan to permanently remove the traffic along Normal Street in Hillcrest and replace it with a promenade will be voted on Tuesday. If approved, the westside traffic lanes would become a pedestrian walkway with dedicated bike lanes. It would also make room for the weekly Hillcrest farmers market and other events. “They call it a promenade but where are people promenading to,” says Linda Hanna, owner of Salon Antoine. Hanna has owned the business near the corner of Normal Street and University Avenue for almost 20 years. “We are in favor of something like this, but we need to think it through.”Other business owners are worried because the project would eliminate a driveway to a nearby shopping center.“If you don’t close that driveway, you have a driveway going right to the park, and that’s a real problem,” says Benjamin Nicholls, Executive Director of the Hillcrest Business Association. To add space to the east side lanes, some parking spaces will be moved. The Hillcrest Business Association says there are plans to add dozens of parking spaces near Lincoln Avenue. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - UC San Diego Police sent out a warning to Faculty and Staff about a series of burglaries this week.  The email states the thefts occurred at occupied and unlocked apartments.  There were three cases of break-ins and attempted break-ins that took place in campus housing complexes. There was another report of a car break-in. But UC San Diego police say the San Diego Police Department is working on nearly 30 burglary cases in the similar area. According to UCSD Police, on Tuesday, a woman at The La Jolla Del Sol apartments reported getting out of the shower and finding a female intruder. The resident yelled, and the thief took off with a backpack, cell phone, purse, and laptop.   On Sunday, a resident at the Mesa Nueva Apartments reported a male intruder removing the screen from his living room window.   On Monday a similar report out of the Sixth College Apartments for undergraduates.
