SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Another report of BB gun vandalism, this time in Mission Hills, has police warning residents all over San Diego to be alert. The latest report of vandalism came Thursday at a string of businesses in Mission Hills along the 4000 block of Pacific Highway. Pictures of the area show holes in glass and workers boarding up large windows damaged by the vandals. Wednesday night, police sent out a news release stating the suspects are believed to have fired BB gun pellets, causing damage to vehicle windows or store windows. Previous incidents were reported between June 24 and July 8 in the late evening and early morning hours. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Birch Aquarium has opened a new exhibit showcasing one of the sea's most beautiful creatures in one of the world's largest habitats for the animal.The aquarium's new permanent exhibition "Seadragons and Seahorses" featuring Weedy and Leafy seadragons and several species of seahorses and pipefish.At the center of the exhibit will sit one of the world's largest seadragon habitats in the world, measuring 18 feet wide, 9 feet tall and containing 5,375 gallons of water, according to the aquarium.The exhibit takes guests into the lives of seadragons and seahorses, showcasing the sea life in a habitat designed to create the ideal environment for them to breed. Guests will learn how to observe the animals like scientists, catch distinguishing features, and identify courting and mating behaviors.The exhibit also gives visitors a peek into the Birch Aquariums Husbandry Team working to ensure the species thrives. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- At least one person died in a Bay Park crash as rain soaked the roads in San Diego County Sunday morning. According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. Sunday on northbound Interstate 5 just before Clairemont Drive. CHP reports that the vehicle was traveling at high speeds just before the crash. At least three vehicles were involved in the crash. According to CHP, the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the center divide before being struck by two other vehicles. The driver of the truck was standing outside his vehicle when he was hit and killed by one of the vehicles. The driver was 48-year-old Joseph Vito Berardino, according to the medical examiner. At this time, it’s unclear how many more people may have been injured. 794

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities responded Wednesday after a car slammed into the side of a motel in Point Loma.According to firefighters, the crash happened on the 1300 block of Scott Street at the Vagabond Inn San Diego Airport Marina.The driver was parked in the Point Loma Seafood parking lot when she reportedly hit the gas, driving through a fence and smashing into the side of the motel.The crash created a hole in a bathroom of one of the motel rooms. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – At least 10 people were arrested during demonstrations in downtown San Diego Wednesday night that were sparked by the grand jury decision in the Breonna Taylor case.ABC 10News learned there were initially two separate protests planned in the downtown area. Eventually, the two groups joined together.Protesters marched through downtown chanting and holding signs demanding justice for Taylor. The demonstration made its way to San Diego Police Department headquarters on Broadway.Shortly after 10 p.m., SDPD tweeted that there were acts of violence and vandalism and declared the protest outside headquarters “an unlawful assembly.”According to the tweet, the crowd was ordered to disperse or face arrest.
