If you have an Uber Ride Share account, it's automatically synced up to that app. It cut the ordering time in half if you were a new user.Although we used Postmates for ordering food, we learned you can use the app for ordering anything. Some use Postmates to order clothes to be picked up or getting an item from the drug store delivered to their house.No matter which app you use there’s a place to save money by adding a promo code. But, you’ll need to watch out for hidden service fees outside of the usual delivery and tax fee.A great feature all the apps have are alerts or push notifications letting you know where your food is and when it will be delivered.Almost every app delivered the food we ordered 10 minutes earlier than their estimated arrival time. (KGTV) - Vice President Mike Pence toured the US-Mexico border in Southern California Monday, answering questions about the migrant caravan waiting to apply for asylum.Nearly 200 Border Patrol agents joined the Vice President at the Imperial station in Calexico.Pence said the migrant caravan’s attempt to seek asylum was a direct result of weak immigration laws and a “porous border.”He called on Congress to close what he described as immigration loopholes. Pence also asked for an end to the current catch-and-release policy, and a crackdown on sanctuary cities.“All of this cries out for action and thanks to the leadership to President Donald Trump, we are protecting the American people along our southern border and we are building a wall,” said Pence.Pence toured the construction site of the border fence renovation and received an update on the progress.“This new wall is roughly two or three times taller than the wall that was here today. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - One man is behind bars after police said he stabbed a man multiple times before leading police on a pursuit through North San Diego County.Carlsbad officers responded to reports of a traffic collision in the 6200 block of Paseo Del Norte at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, they saw a red truck speed away and fail to yield to police.The suspected driver was later identified as 28-year-old Gervin Giovanni Chavez.At the scene, police found a man with multiple stab wounds to his head, neck, and torso and a female who was uninjured. Officers pursued Chavez and later apprehended him in Oceanside after he collided with a road median.MAP: Track crime in your neighborhoodWitnesses at the scene told police Chavez began an unprovoked attack against the man while they were in the vehicle together. The man was able to get out of the vehicle while it was still moving before Chavez stopped and got out to chase him.Chavez continued attacking the man before a woman broke up the attack. Chavez then returned to his vehicle and led police on a pursuit.Police do not believe there are any outstanding suspects. Chavez has been booked into Vista detention center and charged with attempted homicide.The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he is undergoing multiple surgeries for his wounds. 1363

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) — A motorcyclist was killed on Friday after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a building in Carlsbad.Carlsbad Police say the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Faraday Ave. just after 3 p.m., when for unknown reasons he lost control and collided into a building.Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist unconscious. The rider, identified as a 29-year-old male from Encinitas, died at the scene.Police don't believe any other vehicles were involved and said it doesn't appear alcohol was a factor. It's unclear how fast the rider was traveling at the time of the crash.The area of Faraday Ave. and Orion Way was partially closed for the investigation but has since reopened. 728
