From football stadiums to movie theatres, the idea of large crowds is still terrifying to a lot of people during this pandemic, but a new invention that helps kill COVID-19 germs instantly could help get people back into some of the nation’s most beloved large venues.For Mark Zurevinski, who once traveled the globe managing shows for superstars, business disappeared in an instant this past spring. With both his employees and his own livelihood on the line, Zurevinski looked around at all those stadiums and decided to come up with a solution to help get people safely back into large spaces.“I saw everyone in the entertainment crossing their arms and waiting for the government to find a solution,” he said.In the middle of the pandemic, as businesses worldwide shut down, Zurevinski started a new business called Sani Pass.The company has developed a disinfecting channel walkthrough machine to kill the novel coronavirus. First, the machine takes your temperature, then nozzles spray a fine non-toxic disinfecting solution over your clothes and bags that kill any COVID germs you may have on you.One machine costs around ,000.“We’re not suggesting we’re a cure. We’re suggesting we are a part of a broader arsenal of products that need to be implemented in order to bring us back to some form of normalcy,” Zurevinski added.Zurevinski also knew that if you couldn't move people through the machine quickly, it wouldn't matter.It takes about eight seconds for one person to get a person disinfected in the Sani Pass. The company estimates they could get 55,000 people into a stadium in just 90 minutes.“I wanted to get people back into arena, back into theatres, back into stadiums. Those are large mass gatherings and in order to get people in there quick enough, we had to find a solution that was not 30 seconds, one minute, two minutes each,” he said.Aside from stadiums, Zurevinski is also in talks with some airports who are considering putting the Sani Pass in place. 1992

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Police say a suspect has been arrested in the stabbing death of a man at the California State University, Fullerton campus.Fullerton police Lt. Jon Radus on Thursday told The Associated Press that 51-year-old Chuyen Vo was arrested Wednesday night at his home in Huntington Beach. Vo is suspected in the death of a former co-worker, 57-year-old Steven Shek Keung Chan. Police would not elaborate on the work relationship between the two men.Chan worked as the director of budget and finance and student services for university extended education but retired in 2017. He returned to the campus in January to work as a consultant.Authorities have said Chan was found stabbed numerous times inside his silver Infiniti in a campus parking lot on Monday, and they believe it was a targeted attack. 825

HILLSBORO, Ohio — A dramatic security recording from inside the Highland County Common Pleas Court shows an inmate fleeing his own sentencing hearing on foot, evading deputies in the process, on Tuesday morning.According to court records, 34-year-old Nickolaus Kyle Garrison had in August pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. He appeared in court Tuesday to receive a sentence of six months from Judge Rocky Coss.The Highland County Press reported Garrison ran when deputies attempted to take him back into custody after his sentencing.The video released by the county shows Garrison running from the courtroom and out into a hallway, pursued by deputies and a court bailiff. As he runs downstairs, the bailiff attempts to jump over the banister and grab him; the bailiff falls, sliding down the stairs on his back, and Garrison escapes.By the end of the week, Garrison was back in custody. He was captured at a motel in Clinton County around 4:30 a.m. Friday by officers and deputies from multiple law enforcement agencies. Garrison will now face additional charges. GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Bryshere Gray, an actor on the TV show "Empire," was arrested Sunday night in connection with a domestic violence incident at a Goodyear home.According to Goodyear police, officers responded to reports that a woman had been assaulted and arrived at a Circle K at Estrella Parkway and McDowell Road around 10:15 p.m.Police said the victim flagged down a citizen shortly before at another gas station and said she had been assaulted at her home "for several hours" by her husband, who she identified as Bryshere Gray.The victim was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries, and Goodyear detectives and victims' advocates continued to assist after she was discharged from the hospital.When officers tried to contact Gray at his home near Estrella Parkway and Westar Drive, he refused to come out and speak with the police.Goodyear SWAT and Crisis Negotiations were called to the scene to assist.According to police, Gray surrendered without incident just after 7 a.m. Monday. He was taken into custody and will be booked on domestic violence charges.Gray portrays Hakeem Lyon on "Empire."
