He was going to turn 11 on Saturday. “They were very happy in the last moments,” said Lidia Lemus, their cousin, who was at the party. “It’s very surreal right now,” she said. “They had their whole lives ahead of them.” The family says the mother was not under the influence when she left the party. MILWAUKEE — Protesters marched the 38 miles between Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Milwaukee on Tuesday to call for justice for Jacob Blake and encourage early voting.The Jacob Blake “Rally for Justice” began just after midnight in Kenosha, and the marchers wound its way through the streets of southeastern Wisconsin more than 30 miles to downtown Milwaukee nearly 18 hours later.Organizers hope the energy from the march will carry voters to the ballot boxes this month, as early voting gets underway in Wisconsin.Tanya McClean, the executive director of Leaders of Kenosha, led the group on the march.“We’re going to continue fighting for Jacob and all the families that have lost love ones to police brutality,” McClean said.Jacob Blake’s uncle says the support for his nephew is appreciated.“These people walked 38 miles baby, that’s commitment for justice for little Jake,” Justin Blake said.Justin Blake also demanded that Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey be fired, indicted, and convicted. Some reported minor and temporary side effects such as headaches and fatigue and there were no signs of long-term health effects.Given that the trials were completed less than a month ago, vaccine liability attorney Jerry Konkel believes people should be aware that their legal rights are limited if the vaccine somehow harms them.“One thing I would say is to have a high level of suspicion,” Konkel said.Konkel said the federal government has shielded coronavirus vaccine manufacturers from personal liability lawsuits. Instead, there’s a federal fund for those who can prove their injuries were caused by the vaccine less than one year after receiving it.“They only pay non-covered medical expenses and lost wages as a general rule so it’s a big difference from the general vaccine compensation program which will pay for uncovered medical expenses, lost wages, future medical expenses, pain suffering, and disability,” Konkel said.Dr. Ryan Westergaard is Wisconsin’s chief medical officer of communicable diseases.
