SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A City Heights elementary school was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning following reports of gunfire in the area.San Diego Police responded to the call of shots fired near Colina del Sol Park at 5319 Orange Avenue just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.Fay Elementary - located across the street from the park - was placed on a precautionary lockdown, according to police. The lockdown was lifted within an hour.Two individuals were detained following the reports, but police did not confirm whether they were associated with the shooting. Police did say they are searching for one more individual.Police recovered shell casings at the scene, but would not say how many were recovered. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed a car into a wall Sunday morning, critically injuring one passenger.Police say the teen was driving too fast on the 3900 block of Imperial Avenue near the Mt. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A driver escaped serious injury after falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing his pickup truck on state Route 52 in the Kearny Mesa area.The crash happened at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday on the eastbound side of SR-52 near the transition to Interstate 805, the California Highway Patrol said.ABC 10News learned a man was driving his work truck when he fell asleep, leading his vehicle to roll over several times across freeway lanes before coming to rest on the right shoulder.The driver was able to crawl out of the wreckage and was evaluated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The San Diego Symphony canceled the remainder of its 2020 season today as COVID-19-related closures drag on, with some performances canceled through May 2021.All Jacobs Masterworks concerts at Copley Symphony Hall at Jacobs Music Center have been canceled through Dec. 31. In addition, all special concerts and all concerts in the Broadway at the Jacobs, Jazz at the Jacobs, Fox Film and Family concert series have been canceled through May 2021.As a result of the cancellations and to simplify the ticketing process, the company will automatically move any 2020/21 subscription into the 2021/22 season.
