After falling at his home on Sunday, Carter was in Nashville on Monday to fulfill his role as an ambassador and builder for Habitat for Humanity. The fall caused a noticeable bruise on Carter's face, which was partially covered by a bandage. Carter said he needed stitches after falling.The former president and his wife Rosalynn will oversee the construction of 21 homes in the Nashville area this week. At a White House briefing on Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence said that the government will have 1.5 million coronavirus tests ready to distribute this week after bipartisan criticism was levied on the government's ability to distribute tests. Pence added that tests are available in all 50 states, giving doctors the ability to better determine whether patients have been sickened with coronavirus.
