LUCIE, Fla. — A Florida woman is recovering after being stung by a poisonous caterpillar at a local park.Now, she wants to share her experience with hopes of keeping others safe.Tara Forbes said she was at Whispering Pines Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida last weekend watching her son play on the playground.She was sitting on a bench under an oak tree when she said she felt a burning sensation on her arm.“My arm was out on the bench ... I thought maybe I was getting a little sunburn,” Forbes said. “I looked down and I had black and white fuzz here, and white fuzz on the inside. It just immediately felt like fire, like somebody took a flame to my skin.”That fuzz, she said, was from a poisonous puss caterpillar. She doesn’t know if it fell from the tree, where they are known to live, or if it was already on the bench where she was sitting. The pain spread to her bones and joints and became excruciating, she said.“My arm swelled up from my finger tips to my shoulder up into my neck and even into my chest.”She also became dizzy and nauseous.Forbes is a nurse and knew which symptoms to watch for to determine if she should go to the emergency room. In hindsight, she said she would go if she were to get stung again to better control the pain.That is why she wants her message to reach parents.“I think if this happened to my son or somebody else’s child they should go directly to the ER because it was very painful ... Children are so much smaller, so it could affect them much worse.”More than 24 hours after making contact with the caterpillar, Forbes was still in some pain. “I think it would be good for other parents just to be aware that when you’re enjoying the outdoors like we did, these things could happen. Know to seek medical help immediately when it does happen.”She said she used tape to pull the hairs out of her skin.A spokesperson with the city of Port St. Lucie said staff from the parks department checked out the park for poisonous caterpillars after Forbes’ report was brought to their attention.They did not find any of the caterpillars but said they will be returning Tuesday to look again. Arizona:In Arizona, a lawsuit was filed Saturday night claiming poll workers incorrectly rejected votes processed on Election Day. On Sunday, ABC15 in Phoenix learned that one of the firms representing the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee in the suit, filed a notice of withdrawal of counsel. The judge would need to grant the withdrawal.No details were given why the law firm wants to withdraw from the lawsuit.An earlier lawsuit filed in Arizona, claiming the use of sharpies on Election Day ballots may have caused issues with ballots being properly counted, was dropped by the attorneys who filed it. On Saturday, the State received notice the lawyers had ended their case. No further explanation was given.Election officials had repeatedly said sharpie, or felt-tipped marker, use on ballots does not cause any issues with the ballot readers, and if it does bleed through the paper, the ballots are printed in a way so there is no issue on the other side.Arizona’s Secretary of State Katie Hobbs has repeatedly said she’s seen no evidence of voter fraud or irregularities in the state.In response to claims, without evidence, from President Trump, Hobbs said, “if that’s what he thinks, he doesn’t know what he is talking about. We have no irregularities, we have no fraud. This election is going exactly the way it is supposed to be going.”Hobbs said last week Arizona will not need to do a recount in the presidential race. State law says a recount is triggered when the margin between the two candidates is 200 votes or less. Biden leads Trump in the state by just over 10,000 votes.A candidate can request a recount in Georgia if the margin is within .5 percent and only after the vote tallies are certified, which is expected by November 20.Pennsylvania:In Pennsylvania, a few lawsuits are still in the courts. One would require the Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar and all 67 counties to impose a Monday deadline to show proof of identification if it was not part of their initial ballot. POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A family in Poway escaped after their home burst into flames in Poway Sunday morning. The fire started at a home on the 17000 block of St. Andrews Drive around 3 a.m. According to firefighters, crews were able to extinguish the flames in most of the attic, but the home was a total loss. A man inside the home at the time of the fire says he and his adult son woke up to the smoke alarms going off. "I never thought that things would happen this quickly in a fire that I was involved with in the house. I though well, I'll have time to get stuff out. It going to be in one part of the house. But this thing was like, you couldn't go in any part of the house after we were aware of it for a minute or two,” said homeowner Greg Heer. Heer said they were able to get their two dogs out of the home, but the flames were too intense to return and rescue several kittens.A board and care home next door had to be evacuated as crews battled the flame. President Donald Trump delivered remarks from the White House on Thursday, again declaring himself the rightful winner of Tuesday’s election and that the election is being stolen.Currently, Joe Biden is projected to be ahead in the Electoral College vote. Biden is ahead by a 264-213 margin, according to the Associated Press. While the Associated Press called Arizona early Wednesday, some outlets have not called Arizona, which Biden has led narrowly.Trump made a multitude of false statements to sow doubt into the legitimacy of the election.To be clear, Trump still has a narrow path to the presidency, but that path is becoming more narrow by the hour. As Trump spoke, 17,000 votes in Savannah, Georgia, were tabulated cutting Trump’s lead in the state by 6,000. Trump now leads the state by 3,500 votes with 19,000 votes left. Biden has been winning mail-in votes in Georgia by nearly a 2-to-1 margin, which would be enough to give Biden a narrow win in the state.Conversely, Trump won over 62% of the Election Day vote in Georgia. Because those ballots were first to be reported, Trump racked up a sizable lead in Georgia. A similar situation in Pennsylvania took place. In Pennsylvania, Trump won the Election Day vote by a 2-to-1 margin, but trailed the mail-in vote by a 3-to-1 margin. Early on Thursday, Trump tweeted “STOP THE COUNT” as mail-in votes postmarked on or before Election Day are being counted in states such as Pennsylvania and Georgia.
