(KGTV) -- The mother of a South Bay teen says her 16-year-old son had a disturbing encounter at a store parking lot in Eastlake.Suher Haidar said a man offered her son money for a sexual act as her son was leaving the Walmart on Eastlake Parkway on Monday."It's just gross," Haidar said. "That's the only way I can explain it."She said her son was walking to his car in the store parking lot when a man in a pickup truck waved him down to get his attention. He was trying to make small talk when the conversation shifted to the disturbing proposition. That's when her son pulled out his phone and recorded the encounter. The man drove away after her son began yelling at him and recording him."My son was just disgusted, and he did what he had to do," Haidar said. "His father and I are really proud of him for standing up for himself and being quick to pull out his phone."She posted her son's video on social media, and several people have commented to say the same person tried to start a conversation with their teenage sons.The Chula Vista Police Department says they are investigating the incident. Chick-Fil-A is testing a new menu item in Arizona, and depending on how it goes, it could be rolled out to menus nationwide.Starting Monday, spicy chicken strips will be available at Chick-Fil-A restaurants in Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma, the fast-food chain said.They've been under test in Philadelphia and Texas since last year.The strips come in orders of three or four, and a choice of dipping sauce.The company said it combined their original chicken strips and spicy chicken strip sandwich to create the new menu item.The strips are seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers, hand-breaded, and cooked in refined peanut oil. (KGTV) -- The Sweetwater Union High School District announced Thursday that it plans to reopen August 3.According to the district, only distance or virtual learning will be available on August 3. No on campus instruction will be available.On August 28, the district will transition to "Phase 1" where 10 percent of students will be allowed on campus at any given time.As public health orders permit, the campus will move into phase two, where 20 percent of students will be allowed on campus. Phase three will see 50 percent or more of students on campus plus "some activities." CHULA VISTA (KGTV) -- Authorities have arrested a 44-year-old Casa De Oro man in connection with his husband's murder.According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Daniel Scott Jordan was taken into custody Thursday in Reno, Nevada following a joint agency investigation involving San Diego Sheriff’s Department, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force in San Diego, and the USMS Fugitive Task Force in Reno."Jordan was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility as a Fugitive from Justice and will await extradition to San Diego," said sheriff's Lt.
