At the same time, in four of the five states in which the final vote tallies have not been determined, the difference in votes between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is small: less than two percent, in each state.Americans are speaking differently but in equal numbers.Going forward, will the nation stay equally divided? "That's why I said my stomach is churning. And I feel it's divide and conquers."She said that she's a Democrat, who was visiting Howard Beach from Flushing, Queens, which votes very differently than Howard Beach. Her assessment was the exception, actually.Another voter, who chose not to give his name, said, after being asked if he can feel comfortable interacting with people who voted differently than he did, "I've never been uncomfortable. A local mom has joined Tennessee lawmakers to back a bill that would require a prescription bottle design change in order to save young lives.Betty Mason of Green Hills, Tennessee lost her daughter, Katy to an opioid overdose in May 2016. "Great IQ, great student, great athlete. She had everything in the world going for her and it...her future was bright and it came to an abrupt halt with this," Mason said.Doctors told Mason that Katy was in the hospital on life support after the apparent overdose.Mason said her daughter started experimenting with prescription drugs after eighth grade with friends.She said for five years her daughter's big smile would fade during her time in and out of three treatment facilities.Mason hoped a state proposed bill, Pilfering Prevention Act, would help curb Tennessee's opioid epidemic.The act would allow prescription bottles for drugs considered severely psychologically or physically addicting to have a 4-number combination lock.Each patient would be assigned a pin number to unlock the container.Dr. Sterling Haring with Vanderbilt University Medical Center contributed to a John Hopkins report which recommended updating prescription packaging. The update would apply to only Schedule II prescriptions, meaning substances that have a high potential for abuse which may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.Most prescription bottles haven't changed for 50 years."But to me if your boat is sinking, the first step is to plug the hole and then you start bailing the water out. A former Nazi labor camp guard who has been living in the United States for decades has finally been deported to Germany after years of diplomatic wrangling, the White House announced on Tuesday.Jakiw Palij, who worked as a guard at the Trawniki Labor Camp, in what was then German-occupied Poland, had been living out his post-war years in Queens, New York City.Palij, 95, was born in what was then-Poland and now Ukraine, and immigrated to the US in 1949, becoming a citizen in 1957. The former Nazi guard lied to US immigration officials about his role in World War II, saying he worked on a farm and in a factory, the White House said in a statement.In 2001, Palij admitted to US Department of Justice officials that he had in fact trained and worked at the Trawniki Labor Camp in 1943. A man has been arrested after allegedly attacking a woman with a biscuit in Nashville. An affidavit from Metro Nashville Police said officers were called to 2301 Murfreesboro Pike on Aug. 19 in response to a domestic disturbance. A Google Maps search shows a BP gas station at that address.A woman told police that she was in the backseat of her boyfriend’s car when the suspect threw a biscuit that hit her in the face. The victim reported being in pain after the incident.When they left the area, the suspect allegedly charged after her and punched the hood of the car, leaving a large dent. He then yelled, “I’ll kill you mother f***er,” the police report said. The victim said she was “very much in fear” and believed she would have been hurt had her boyfriend and another person not intervened. Police later arrested Jeffrey L. Tomerlin on a charge of public intoxication. Officers said he smelled of alcohol and his level of intoxication was so high that he may have been a danger to himself. The affidavit also said he was an “unreasonable annoyance” to people in the area. He was eventually taken to an area hospital because police said he kept banging his head on the patrol car windows.  1245
