(KGTV and AP) — The body of a woman found in a shallow Northern California grave may be an aspiring model and actress from Macedonia who vanished in Los Angeles last month, authorities said.The Nevada County Sheriff's Office said the body found Tuesday has not been identified. Los Angeles Police said they believe the remains are those of 25-year-old Adea Shabani, KABC reported. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.Sheriff's Lt. Rob Bringolf said Los Angeles police detectives searching for Shabani led investigators to the grave 56 miles (90 kilometers) north of Sacramento. Shabani was last seen in Hollywood on Feb. 23.An acquaintance of Shabani's fatally shot himself in the head last week. The California Highway Patrol said 33-year-old Chris Spotz led officers on a Southern California vehicle pursuit that ended with his death in Riverside County. HOBE SOUND, Florida — For Rony Bottex, 65, fracturing his leg and using crutches is nothing compared to what could have happened on I-95 in Hobe Sound, Florida on Monday morning. "If he wasn't there, if the officer wasn't there, I'd be dead," said Bottex. Rony was involved in an accident on I-95. Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Mithil Patel, 31, was the first to respond and while he's talking to Rony?outside of the car, a van slammed into a car, sending it spinning in their direction.?"He saw the car come right to me and pushed me to the side and thank God I fall, but he's the one who got hurt for me," said Bottex. "He take the hit and pushed me out of the way." Trooper Patel was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center where he is now in good condition. Rony says he has not stopped praying for the brave trooper who he says nearly gave his own life to save Rony. "They do the jobs for you, not for them, and he was going to take the hit for me, he did," he said. Rony says thanks to Trooper Patel, he's still alive for his wife and six children. He now wants this stranger who saved him to be a part of his family too. "What I want to tell his family, I want to be with him as a family because people like this you never forget them," added Bottex. The trooper's father said the family has been overwhelmed with calls and support. (AP) — An 8-foot tall whipping post was removed from a Delaware county courthouse square Wednesday after activists said the post was a reminder of racial discrimination.The post outside the Sussex County Courthouse in Georgetown was removed after an hour and a half of excavation and put in storage unit with other historical artifacts.The Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs said the post was used to bind and whip people publicly for committing crimes up until 1952. GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Multiple people were injured after a brawl broke out at a Sikh temple in Greenwood Sunday afternoon. Greenwood police say at least four people suffered non-life threatening injuries when a fight broke out at the temple in the 1000 block of Graham Road.Police say there were daggers, sharp objects and pepper spray involved in the fight, which took place following a change in leadership. Ambulances were called in from agencies in several surrounding counties to help treat the injured. More than 100 people were inside the temple when the brawl broke out. The incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time. The video below was taken inside the temple after the fight broke up and police arrived.   795
