BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee will try to expand its discipline inspections into all government organs and government-sponsored institutions next year, a CPC disciplinary official said on Sunday.

Xi made the remarks when meeting with Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, AU Commission chairperson, in South Africa's executive capital, before he leaves for a summit on China-Africa cooperation in Johannesburg.

Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Supreme Court, the top legislature, the government departments in charge of security, judicial, ethnic, religious, information, woman and children affairs as well as relevant department of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) participated in the dialogue, an annual event in recent years.

Dlamini-Zuma said it is of great significance that Xi is to co-chair the second summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in South Africa.

"At present, the situation in the Sahel region is a source of concern and calls for greater input and integrated approach by the international community," Liu Jieyi, China's permanent representative to the UN, told a Security Council meeting on situations in the Sahel region.
