CINCINNATI — It's your right as an American to give people the finger, even if the recipient of your flipped bird is a police officer, a federal appeals court ruled this week.The case centered around Debra Cruise-Gulyas, a Michigan woman who displayed her middle finger to a police officer who had stopped her for speeding and written her a ticket for a lesser violation in 2017.The officer, Matthew Minard, then stopped the woman again less than 100 yards away and amended the ticket to a speeding violation.Cruise-Gulyas later sued Minard, alleging that he violated her constitutional rights by pulling her over the second time.The case eventually made its way to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, and a panel of judges ruled on Wednesday that stopping Cruise-Gulyas because of the gesture was a violation of her First Amendment rights."Fits of rudeness or lack of gratitude may violate the Golden Rule," Judge Jeffrey S. Country star Travis Tritt's tour bus was involved in a fatal car wreck as it was leaving Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, early Saturday morning, the musician said on Twitter.Two people were killed and another was injured in the multi-vehicle accident, Horry County Fire Rescue said. Two vehicles and Tritt's tour bus were involved in the wreck. No one on the tour bus was injured, but Tritt was shaken by the experience, according to his twitter.A Jeep was traveling in the wrong direction and crashed into a Chevrolet truck head-on, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. According to Tritt, the driver was going the wrong way on South Carolina Highway 22, also known as Veterans Highway. Democratic donor Ed Buck has been charged with operating a drug house after a 37-year-old man suffered a nonfatal overdose at his apartment last week. Two other men have died of overdoses at Buck's house.Buck is accused of injecting the man with methamphetamine at his West Hollywood apartment on September 11, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
