SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One man is behind bars Saturday after allegedly leading police on a pursuit through North San Diego County, ending at a Riverside County casino.Augustine Robinson was arrested inside Pechanga Casino, after leading deputies on a pursuit that began in San Marcos, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.Deputies said Robinson stopped at a Shell gas station at 400 Sycamore Ave. in Vista at about 5:30 a.m. and told the clerk to put an undisclosed amount of money on a pump. The clerk reportedly told Robinson he had to pay for the fuel but Robinson gestured toward his pocket and said, "You should put it on the pump."MAP: Track crime in your neighborhoodThe clerk, thinking Robinson had a weapon, did as he demanded. Robinson also grabbed a drink from a refrigerator before filling his car and leaving, deputies added.Deputies came across Robinson's suspected vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. A pursuit began and lasted for about 50 minutes, taking deputies through San Marcos, Vista, Escondido, and into Riverside County.The chase ended at Pechanga, where deputies said Robinson fled and was stopped just inside the casino entrance. No injuries were reported.Deputies have booked Robinson in the Vista Detention Facility and charged him with robbery and reckless evading. 1339

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Point Loma neighbors say a completed Navy fuel pipeline project has been tearing up their road for years. The work to replace the 17-mile-long Navy-owned Miramar pipeline is finished along Rosecrans Street between Talbot Street and Naval Base Point Loma. However, residents told 10News parts of the repaved street are failing. “I would love to see it finally repaired correctly so it doesn't fail in six months, which is what has happened multiple times,” said La Playa resident Ben Bensoul. Bensoul said contractors were supposed to finish the Talbot Street stretch of road last week but there is no sign of the workers. “They picked up their signs and left,” he said. Bensoul said traffic snarls are common, along with safety concerns for bicyclists and people on scooters. “I’ve actually memorized where all the holes were and was able to avoid half driving home. Now it's impossible,” said Bensoul. The Miramar pipeline provides fuel for ships and aircraft. 10News reached out to the Navy for comment. "Roadwork on Rosecrans Street began September 23rd with removal of failed slurry seal and was scheduled to be finished with the new slurry seal on 28 September. During this process, concrete was discovered under the asphalt, which causes adhesion problems. The contractor is currently working with the City of San Diego, however, due to the underlying condition of the road, this requires additional investigation and discussion to achieve an effective long-term solution. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect who drove into a woman using a motorized chair in Central San Diego.On Dec. 9, just before 4 a.m., San Diego Police say 62-year-old Gloria Williams was riding her motorized mobility device in the left lane of the 100 block of Euclid Avenue, heading northbound. It's not clear why Williams was traveling in the roadway in the Lincoln Park area.The driver of a dark-colored SUV collided into the back of Williams and continued to drive northbound, according to police. Williams died at the scene.Police said they were able to retrieve some details of the suspect's vehicle using optical sensors from nearby Smart Street Lights. The street lights also captured the suspect stopping at a nearby gas station.Gas station surveillance footage showed the suspect, a black man wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers hooded sweatshirt and checkered pants, enter the gas station using a cane.Police are now asking the public for help to identify the suspect. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Padres outfielder Tommy Pham is recovering after being stabbed in the back Sunday night, the team says.According to San Diego Police, Pham was stabbed during an altercation Sunday night.The Padres said Monday that Pham is in “good condition.” He is expected to make a full recovery.“We are aware of the incident last night involving Tommy Pham. He was treated at UC San Diego Health and is currently in good condition. He is expected to make a full recovery. The San Diego Police Department is actively investigating the incident and we will have no further comment at this time,” the Padres said.Pham Monday also thanked the medical staff in charge of his care.“I’d like to thank the incredible medical staff at UC San Diego Health for taking such great care of me last night.
