(CNN) -- Target's revamped loyalty program is ready for its nationwide debut.Target Circle will be available to shoppers in the United States beginning October 6. Program perks include earning 1% on Target purchases, personalized deals and early access to its sales. The launch follows an 18-month test in six cities that garnered 2 million members. The expansion of the loyalty program complements Target's branded credit card, Redcard, which only a quarter of its customers use. It also replaces Cartwheel, a separate discount program, in an attempt to offer a "more seamless, intuitive shopping experience."The program is free. Target will begin automatically enrolling members that have Target.com and Redcard accounts. To use it, customers can swipe a barcode from the Target app or provide their phone number at checkout. The company has said earlier this year that Target Circle also gives the company more data about shopping habits. For example, if Target knows a shopper frequently buys diapers and baby products, it could email the customer an offer for diapers."This will help Target build a more complete picture of shoppers," said Neil Saunders, managing director at GlobalData Retail previously told CNN Business. "It gives customers a little incentive to go to Target."Target is the latest retailer to revamp its loyalty program because retailers are recognizing that they need new perks to encourage them to keep returning.Macy's, Starbucks, H&M, Kohl's, Lululemon and J Crew either have launched new loyalty programs or significantly changed their existing programs within the past year.-- CNN Business' Nathaniel Meyersohn contributed to this report. 1679

(KGTV) — GoFundMe has found itself hosting another border wall related campaign, this time to counter a growing fundraiser to fund President Trump's border wall. The "Ladders to Get Over Trump's Wall" campaign was created to counter a multi-million dollar GoFundMe in support of the border wall. And while it says it's for ladders to get over the wall, it's not in the literal sense.Instead, the campaign says it intends to donate the money raised to legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees though the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), a Texas-based nonprofit."We saw some folks are raising money for a border wall to keep out our migrant siblings and fellow human beings, who are fleeing violence and persecution and whose tragically-underpaid labor is essential to the U.S. economy. Seems like a bad idea on countless levels for everyone involved," the campaign writes. "Maybe we should focus on human rights and creating a community that reflects our supposed values."The campaign writes that while literal ladders are not its intention, it's about "lifting people up."As of Thursday at 4:25 p.m., the campaign had raised more than ,000 of its 0 million goal. At the same time, the competing campaign "We The People Will Fund The Wall" had raised more than .5 million of its billion goal. 1380

(KGTV) — I can show you the world. At least, that's how Disney plans to address content on its upcoming streaming platform.Disney Plus, set to launch later this year, is set to bring the "entire Disney motion picture library" to viewers, according to Disney CEP Bob Iger. That means vintage films like "Dumbo," "The Little Mermaid," and "Snow White" can be seen in all their glory — minus the VHS tape distortion.During an investor's meeting in St. Louis, Iger said the service would house the House of Mouse's library "soon after launch" and include movies typically kept in the "Disney Vault," which brought out movies every few years, Polygon reported.RELATED: New 'Aladdin' footage debuts: Viewers see blue with first look at Will Smith as GenieAll of this in addition to new movies and series developed under the service, Iger added, such as the service's live-action Star Wars series called "The Mandalorian."For fans simply buying in for Disney's newest movies, Iger said films would find their way onto the platform within a year of their release.“It’s going to combine both the old and the new,” Iger said. “All of the films that we’re releasing this year, [starting] with Captain Marvel, will also be on the service.”A release date for Disney Plus this year has yet to be announced. 1300
