FBI Director Chris Wray told senators Wednesday that the FBI's investigation into Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was "limited in scope" and thus "consistent with the standard process."Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at a house party when the two were in high school. Both Ford and Kavanaugh testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last month, prompting the weeklong FBI investigation and hundreds to protest on Capitol Hill. The Senate reviewed the FBI's findings after they were sent it last Thursday and confirmed Kavanaugh by a 50-48 vote Saturday afternoon. Kavanaugh has denied all allegations against him.During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, California Democrat Sen. Kamala Harris asked Wray if the FBI was given full discretion over the investigation or whether it was limited by directions from the White House."Unlike most investigations like the sort that you and I and (Democratic Sen. Facebook and Instagram were both having issues as users reported problems with the social media sites early Tuesday morning. According to downdetector.com,  the East coast is reporting the most problems with Facebook in the United States, but issues are being reported globally as well. (KGTV) - A driver under the influence of a drug struck and injured a Caltrans worker on Interstate 15 in Escondido Thursday, the California Highway Patrol said.A Nissan Sentra driven by a 26-year-old man was headed south on the freeway south of 9th Ave. about 10 a.m. and struck the Caltrans-owned Dodge Ram truck which was stopped in the center divider near the HOV lane. Officers said the Nissan’s driver allowed his car to drift into the center divider.The Caltrans worker had moderate injuries. The Nissan’s driver complained of pain but refused treatment at the scene. One of his male passengers suffered major injuries; other had moderate injuries.CHP officers evaluated the Nissan driver and arrested him at the scene on suspicion of DUI. 776
