(KGTV) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 rumbled Southern California Sunday morning.According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake happened before 7:20 a.m. southwest of Warner Springs.The quake was originally reported as a 3.8 magnitude, but was later downgraded to a 3.6, the USGS reports.People throughout the county immediately took to social media to report the event. (KGTV) -- Authorities are searching for a suspect they say groped a 14-year-old girl at a Vista restaurant.According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, a man walked into the Panda Express on Main Street in Vista and grabbed a 14-year-old on the buttocks on March 21.The department says the man then left the restaurant driving a black sedan.The suspect is described a black man between 35 to 45-years-old who is five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 573

(KGTV) – A head-on collision at a Vista intersection left one driver dead and sent three others to the hospital, San Diego County sheriff’s officials said.The collision involving two vehicles happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday on West Vista Way at Copper Avenue.According to sheriff’s officials, a black Infiniti sedan was traveling westbound on West Vista Way when it collided head-on into a blue Chevrolet hatchback that was traveling eastbound on West Vista Way.The Chevrolet’s 51-year-old male driver died at the scene, while a passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.The Infiniti’s 22-year-old female driver was hospitalized with serious injuries, according to officials. A passenger in the Infiniti suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.The cause of the crash is under investigation, but officials believe alcohol was a factor in the collision. 935

(KGTV) — A Fallbrook woman was convicted of negligence for killing a father of four off of Highway 395 near the Pala Mesa Resort in 2017.Sulem Garcia was on prescription medications when she veered off the road crashing into Paul Burke who was on his bicycle, blocks from his home on May 23, 2017. Garcia's lawyer argued she was exhausted from finishing her finals at Palomar College that day and had been on the prescription medications to treat depression for three years.  Garcia received the maximum sentence which was one year behind bars.RELATED: Bicyclist killed, 19-year-old driver arrested in North CountyMore than 60 of Burke's family members and friends were in the courtroom. Burke's wife Laura gave a victim impact statement saying she does not believe that Garcia is remorseful and that the sentencing was a slap on the wrist.  Burke owned and operated a custom surf shop for more than 40 years.
