A Florida business owner can continue to fly the flags of the branches of the military after an employee's Facebook live video prompted an ordinance review by city officials. On Monday afternoon, the store manager for Jaguar Power Sports — a motorcycle dealership in Jacksonville — went live on the dealership's Facebook page and claimed a city official with the Regulatory and Compliance Department had cited the business for flying flags of the various branches of the military. The employee claimed that the business was cited for each flag on top of the building."These flags that are flying overhead should not be a problem," said the employee, identifying himself only as Shaun. "... There’s one thing I’m not going to tolerate and that is disrespect for our military in a military town. We should not get cited or ticketed for flying flags representing our country.”The employee also claims the city official who cited the dealership also told a customer in the store at the time — a military veteran — that the customer had done "nothing for our country."Jaguar Power Sports' video has since been shared nearly 250,000 times and received more than 5 million views as of 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday.Regulatory and Compliance Department Chief of Staff Brian Hughes told the Jacksonville Times Union said that Jaguar Power Sports had been issued a warning and had not been fined. He also said he was still reviewing the facts of the case and the city's ordinances regarding flags and signs. While the Regulatory and Compliance Department reviews city ordinances, Mayor Lenny Curry says the flags can fly.  1630

A day after President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden squared off in what proved to be a more civilized and substantive debate, both candidates will return to the campaign trail to deliver their final pitches to the American people.Biden will deliver remarks from his home state of Delaware on Friday afternoon — his first public appearance this week outside of Thursday's debate. Since last week, Biden has laid low, allowing surrogates like his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama campaign for him as he focused on debate prep.Biden's remarks are currently scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m. ET.Later Friday, Trump will continue his busy tour of swing states, as he makes multiple appearances in the key battleground state of Florida.Trump will first hold an afternoon rally at The Villages — one of the country's largest retirement communities. Retirees are a key demographic that Trump carried in 2016, but new polling from the AARP shows older Americans favor Biden by a slight margin.Later in the evening, Trump will hold a second rally in Pensacola, Florida. While Biden chose to eschew travel for debate prep this week, Trump made visits to several key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia.Recent polls show that Biden leads Trump anywhere from 3 points to 10 points in the general election vote share. Polls also show that Biden leads Trump in most key swing states, but by a thinner margin. With election day 11 days away, many states have already seen a record numbers of early votes. 1590

A Japanese marketing company is giving its employees a very attractive reason to stay away from cigarettes.Piala Inc., based in Tokyo, made the decision last month to give non-smoking employees an extra six paid days off every year. Their reasoning? To balance out the time smoking employees spend away from their desks on cigarette breaks each day.According to the Japan Times, Piala CEO Takao Asuka said the idea came from an employee comment box submission at its office.“I hope to encourage employees to quit smoking through incentives rather than penalties or coercion,” Asuka?told the Japan Times. He was likely contrasting his approach with that of fellow Japanese company Lawson Inc., which recently banned all employees at its corporate headquarters from smoking during the work day.Since Piala introduced the measure, four employees have quit smoking, according to London's The Telegraph.Smoking is a major issue in Japan, with the country ranking among the world's highest in terms of smoking rates, according to the Washington Post.Clint Davis is a reporter for the Scripps National Desk. A famous guitar making company that's been in business more than 100 years could be headed into bankruptcy.A report by the Nashville Post in early February states Gibson Guitar is facing huge debt obligations. Gibson's Chief Financial Officer, Bill Lawrence, left the firm six months before 5 million of senior secured notes were due to mature. Lawrence had been working for the company for little over a year before he left, reports say."Another 5 million in bank loans will come due immediately if those notes, issued in 2013, are not refinanced by July 23," the Nashville Post report says.Bond holders are frustrated. The Gibson company recently sold a former Baldwin Piano warehouse in The Gulch. The warehouse was sold for .4 million, the Nashville Post says."It also is trying to sell the nearby Valley Arts building on Church Street, although that deal has landed in court. But those sales — the Valley Arts property will bring in about million — are unlikely to make a big enough dent to stave off a painful overhaul," the Nashville Post report says.Gibson Guitar was founded by Orville Gibson in 1902 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. 1167
