She is the co-owner of Soichi Sushi, giving herself a COVID-19 test."I want to take advantage of being proactive," Kadoya said as she swabbed her nose.Since the modified re-opening of her restaurant in University Heights, she and her staff have been cautious about coronavirus exposure. That is why she ordered the Pixel by Labcorp at-home COVID-19 test kit for her entire staff."I think that it is my responsibility as a business owner, not only to my staff but to my customers and my family, to make sure that everybody is doing business here safely," Kadoya said.This is the staff's second round of testing. Kadoya said the first one required multiple doctors referrals just to get a drive-through appointment an hour away."We were able to find a place in Lake Elsinore, so we all had to drive up there," Kadoya said.Dr. Abi Olulade, a family medicine physician at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, said the accessibility of these at-home tests is a big draw."It definitely is something that is very convenient for consumers," Dr. Olulade said.But she suggested customers do their homework before they order."They should be looking at whether or not the tests that they are using have been FDA authorized, and it's not just some random test that they found on the internet," Dr. Olulade said.As of June 12, 2020, seven at-home COVID-19 test kits have the FDA's emergency use authorization. Throughout Friday, her candidate edged closer to being declared the winner."I will feel relieved that the trauma is over. I'm speaking as a black woman who has been under significant trauma the last four years, in terms of some of the language and behavior of the leader of the free world. The team is giving its first look at next year's new brown uniforms this fall.The Padres are set to debut their new 2020 uniforms at an event on Nov. 9 at Petco Park, a team spokesperson confirmed to 10News. The news originally dropped after President of Business Operations Erik Greupner revealed the date on Twitch.Since January, fans have waited in anticipation of seeing the new brown uniforms after the team announced the color change. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Jalen McDaniels, San Diego State University basketball's sophomore forward, was accused of filming consensual sex acts with a classmate in 2016 without her knowledge and sharing it with friends, according to a civil lawsuit filed Wednesday in Washington.The civil suit alleges McDaniels recorded the intimate moments with an 18-year-old female student while they were both seniors at Federal Way High School near Tacoma, Wash.The lawsuit goes on to say while McDaniels later told the plaintiff about the unauthorized recordings and that he had shared it with his friends, she learned from other students that the video became widely circulated. When she confronted McDaniels, he explained he had gotten away with a similar incident involving another female student, according to the lawsuit.The plaintiff's attorney, Joan Mell, who filed the suit, wrote her client has suffered from several self-destructive behaviors as a result, including attempting suicide.SDSU is accused of wrongdoing in the lawsuit as well.Mell alleges in the lawsuit that SDSU was contacted by Washington police to provide them with McDaniels' phone number, but failed to do so.
