Some families might be looking for new traditions like going from house to house checking out Halloween decorations at a safe distance.There is one home in Grosse Pointe Farms that is a must-see.For 24 years, Mark Van Sile and his wife go all out for Halloween. Their home sits on the corner of Lake Shore Drive and Moross Road. With thousands of LED lights and tons of spooky decorations, it has become an attraction!“It means more to people this year than in the past because it is a sign of normalcy,” Mark said.He puts up the lights and decorations himself. He’s in real estate and construction and rents equipment. Mark says it takes 80 hours to decorate about ,000 worth of props and lights.Every year, the Vane Sile couple would dress up and pass out full-size candy bars to 1,400 trick-or-treaters. But because of the pandemic, they are keeping safe and won’t be hosting trick-or-treaters.This year, people are welcome to walk up the driveway and check out all the spooky sights at a safe distance.“People are truly enthusiastic about it,” Mark said.It is not just Halloween, they go big on Independence Day and Christmas.Mark has so many decorations, he built his own storage room. Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson on Sunday conceded the Florida Senate race to Republican Gov. Rick Scott, ending his re-election bid after the completion of a statewide recount.Scott announced the concession in a statement, saying, "I just spoke with Senator Bill Nelson, who graciously conceded, and I thanked him for his years of public service."Nelson will make a statement at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, his campaign announced.The concession brings to conclusion a key Senate race that continued to be fought well after Election Day.The Senate race -- along with the governor's and state's race for agriculture commissioner -- went to a machine recount a week ago, but the recount did not do nearly enough for Nelson and further formalized Scott's more than 12,000-vote lead. The contest still fell within the .25% standard for a manual recount of overvotes and undervotes, however.Nelson conceded after the noon deadline for the manual recount, when all of Florida's 67 counties were required to submit their final vote totals to the secretary of state, meaning every vote deemed admissible by county canvassing boards and the courts had been officially counted.The results of the recount showed Scott with a vote lead of 10,033 over incumbent Nelson. Before the completion of the manual recount, Scott had a lead of 12,603 votes.Nelson's concession comes a day after Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum ended his campaign for governor by acknowledging that Republican Ron DeSantis had defeated him. The concession was a blow to Nelson, given the two top Democrats had figuratively stood together in calling for every legal vote cast in Florida to be counted. (KGTV) - Several homes have been burglarized during the past week in the hills of Olde Del Mar.Neighbors believe they're targeted because they're very freeway accessible; burglars can make a quick getaway.Michelle Angles was a victim."We're so close to the freeway that criminals are coming here because it's an easy pop onto the freeway right after they burglarize. We've had our car broken into; thousands of dollars of things taken."Monday afternoon, just minutes before two homes around the corner and a few blocks away were burglarized, her home surveillance video caught three shady characters ambling down the street."The video shows three young men walking along the sidewalk and they stop right here and you see them looking around and talking very softly.  They noticed the camera and immediately started walking away and one of the young men.. you can see him stop and walk up the grass and he looked into a window next door.  So they were casing houses in the neighborhood," Angles said.At the break-in five blocks away, thieves ransacked the house; stealing jewelry, electronics, cameras and photographic gear.  They also left behind an autographed Steven Tyler guitar with the authentication paperwork right next to it.  They also left many fingerprints on furniture they moved around.  The homeowner said they fed the dog, too; and though she appreciates that the dog wasn't hurt, she's hopeful the fingerprints will lead to arrests. 1517
