DEER SPRINGS (CNS) - A motorist died Saturday in a traffic accident near Old Highway 395 and Interstate 15 in the Deer Springs area, authorities said.The crash happened at 4:36 p.m. when a vehicle went over the side of the road at the Old Highway 395 off-ramp near the northbound 15, named the Avocado Highway along that stretch of roadway, according to Thomas Shoots of Cal Fire.The California Highway Patrol and North County Fire were called to the scene along with Cal Fire, Shoots said.The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene. DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) — Deputies are searching for a driver who recently hit a 39-year-old man in a Del Mar alley and sped off. The victim was walking southbound in an alley between 10th and 11th Streets at about 2 a.m. on Nov. 9, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department. It’s been passed down through three generations. “My grandparents started this house and he finished it,” said Linda Duran of her father, Gerald Duran. “You name it, I did it,” laughed the Korean War Veteran about the hundreds of hours he’s poured into the family home over the years. This home not only represents a wonderful building achievement, but it’s a place where laughter and memories have been shared every single day. As their family grew, the home expanded. “I built this, I built that,” said Gerald pointing around the property. “With help, you know, you cannot do anything without help.” This year, Linda and her dad found their family needing a little help with their home once again. “There were a lot of things that needed work and especially, the safety,” said Linda. But COVID-19 made those repairs impossible to pay for after Linda lost her job. “Can't do anything anymore hardly,” said Gerald. “I want to go to bingo. No, I ain't got no money. Detroit police are investigating after a teen was shot in the back of the head while live on Instagram.According to police, it happened in a home in the 17600 block of San Juan on the city's west side.Police say just before midnight, two 18-year-old men were live on Instagram with guns and money. Per the suspect, he accidentally put his finger on the trigger and discharged the rifle, striking the other 18-year-old in the back of the head in the living room.Police and medics arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead.The other 18-year-old was taken into custody.  583
